I think Araki made Joshu too much of an idiot thinking that he could come up with something later only to not be able to.

Oh, finally another thread where I can ramble about stuff I like.

Favourite JoJos: Josuke -> Joseph -> Johnny
Favourite parts: Part 4 -> Part 7

I recently finished reading JoJolion. Awesome part, I still prefer Steel Ball Run over it, but it was quite great see Araki's style verge into body horror more often than not.
 
Jojolion is probably the best part in terms of art alone

Story wise it probably is one of the weakest with how certain plot points ended disappointingly or were not resolved at all. But the first half was some of the best Jojo content out there.

Yeah he seems to also be continuing this in Part 9 with three stands directly altering the body (as of the most recent chapter)

im 50 chapters into it and i feel like the story has not even really started, ill have to finish it before i know for sure (its a total fucking slog) but it feels hes trying to go for part 4 slice of life. idk its the strangest part so far in terms of story telling, jojo lands is a breath of fresh air considering how fast the plot is moving and how exciting it is

First half of Jojolion was more of just a mystery where the answers were given based on previous clues, the second half suddenly has a new group of villains who feel squeezed in with a new ally who takes away the spotlight of the entire family.

Jojolands definitely is a step up so far since things feel more dynamic and shit is actually happening. Helps Araki is taking advantage of his monthly schedule to make each chapter satisfying. Probably helps he did what he did best for Parts 4-6.

Part 8 was written over a span of 10 fucking years, so I can give Araki the benefit of the doubt of not having thought out most things.

Though the ending part, when the main villain is finally revealed, is fucking awesome.

ill have to finish it, i had this problem with part 4 where i dropped it initially out of boredom, but i ended up liking it after kira was introduced around the half way point.
when i reached the series recently i found my self skipping the arcs that had nothing to do with kira which is most of them,
golden wind dosnt have this issue because the gang is always actively moving towards a goal instead of jerking off waiting for something to happen

Im having fun re-reading part 7. The best part is reading the mangadex comment section of everyone losing their minds about Lucy "SHES 14 YOU SICK FREAK" Steel almost getting raped again.
 
I still think we are early into part 9 but so far it's fun. The art is some of the best in the series so far. I still love part 5, the final act is such a trip but parts 6 and 7 are amazing. Reading Araki's memoirs about part 6 was interesting because you understand his love for these characters.

1 month til we have our maybe part 7 anime fucking finally. If we get more Rohan OVA I will scream irl stop teasing you know what we want. I cannot wait to see Valentine animated.

Just a few more weeks until the Part 7 anime is announced.

Also Jojolands is on hiatus for a month because in April, Araki is going to give a brand new Rohan one-shot.

Oh they did. They were mad at first thinking he would groom her but soften up when they realize they had an emotional relationship and not a sexual one.

Speaking of part 7, the fight between Johnny and Dio was so fucking hype. I cant imagine the reaction everyone had when seeing The World in all its glory.

The entire fight was peak fan service
