It may be nice but you get executed at the end. The worst part about being on Death Row is the fact there are people "fighting for you" and telling you to never give up hope. Even when you are lead into the execution chamber, there is a chance you will get a reprieve from the governor. However the call never comes and you die.

I've read some stories from Japland that if you are on Death Row, the warden of the prison himself will come by your cell to check on you every morning. He'll just look you over and then look over your cell for infractions. He might do this for years. Then one random day, just like all of the others, he says: Today is your execution date, follow me. The japs still execute via hanging.
I'd much rather just get it over with. If you decided I deserve to be killed, well what the fuck are we waiting for? The fucked up thing is if I am on death row but attempt suicide, they'll still do their best to revive me so they can eventually be the ones to kill me instead. Don't even answer the phone if the governor calls to stay my execution - just kill me.

The screaming from the EU about the tariffs will be hilarious. Trump's chart says they charge us 39 percent, so we'll now charge them 20 percent. (And yes, I know the consumer pays tariffs)

I'm not sure how Trump calculates the EU tariffs, since he's supposedly adding up currency manipulation and something about non-monetary trade barriers?

When is Trump going to get around to addressing the amount of undocumented Kiwis

its a good thing they are illiterate because with such a numerical disparity, the second they were to become aware they would overrun us and overthrow us

for real though how many of those are just straight up Feds or atleast Fed interns?
Feds and their interns, bots, and troons and other lolcows searching for their name and hate-reading their own threads.

25 percent tariffs on foreign-manufactured cars. Many "foreign" cars are made in the US to a degree that will avoid tariffs. My Jap cars have all been US made.

Aren't Audis are all foreign? I've never met an Audi driver that wasn't an asshole, so fuck them.
That's the point. Trump's economic policy isn't against non-US companies operating here, but they should be employing Americans to make goods for American consumers.

The last couple clothing items I bought were manufactured in Thailand and Bangladesh, who now will be tariffed 36 and 37 percent. Many "quality" clothing brands in the US have moved manufacturing to Thailand, including L.L. Bean.
The only good things LL Bean still makes (duck boots and boat & totes) are still made in the US anyways.

Well none of them are reading this thread.

Edit for clarity: They need to be logged in to read it.

Everyone will end up bending the knee just as long a Trump can keep the GOP inline.

The US is the single largest and richest nation on earth and being shut out of it's market would be massive problem for most other countries.

After a few weeks of pain and strife the US should emerge stronger as their US based companies can complete on a more even level.

Just as an example Canada charges a 300% tariff on US milk and cheese imports to "protect" the local dairy farmers. The dairy farmers lobby very heavy and are doing even more now to try to force the Feds to keep the tariff as they know the second the tariffs drops Canadians won't be forced to buy their substandard butter and cheese at exorbitant prices.

Really up here in Canukistan the only losers from the tariffs will be the rich people who control the monopolies.

Something tells me they're going to have serious difficulty coaxing a death penalty out of a jury on this one. It's not that he's particularly sympathetic, but like it or not, his victim is likely even less sympathetic.
Depending on the venue, the jury may have no say in sentencing, and may only be allowed to take in the facts and decide whether they fit the law for sentencing.

In unrelated news, the voter ID thing in WI is a constitutional amendment. I don't see how the new lib majority SC can argue that a constitutional amendment is unconstitutional..

There were smoking guns: an expert testifying on the perfect ballots, Dem poll watchers blocking Republican counterparts, Biden outright saying, “We have the biggest voter fraud organization in US history (paraphrase.)” They don’t matter. It’s already too late, the damage is done.
Noted "expert" Jovan Pulitzer? The guy who let the world believe he invented the QR code when he really just invented the scam CueCat gadget?

Same guy by the way:

The List of Tariffs imposed by the Great President Trump. It’s reciprocal but think of it as a probationary period for many of these countries. They’re only being charged HALF the tariffs that they impose on the US. If they don’t reduce their tariffs to match or go lower than US tariffs, Trump will crank up US tariffs in a truly reciprocal manner.

*all countries will be assessed a minimum 10% tariff (a small price to pay for access to the most coveted market in the world)

This is probably "off-topic" but I'm tripping on shrooms now so I'll answer. Your thinking like a rational person that got put on Death Row. Instead of a person that committed horrific and unspeakable acts and has been sentenced to die. Ted Bundy, up until his execution, tried numerous times to get out of it. He was a coward and feared what the reaper would bring him. It is an extremely rare quality of man to be able to look death in the face and say "go ahead, take me, I have no argument and fear not". Those on Death Row have committed horrific acts and, even if they profess atheism, fear what will happen to them after death, and fight with everything they have to stop it.

Not saying that comming out better is a possibility, but a few weeks is a retardedly optimistic timescale, specially for manufacturing which is what this is all about. See how long it has taken for Null, a guy that just runs a server all by himself, to deal with the paperwork, the costs of fisicially relocating his person, and all the legal stuff that comes with setting a buisness in the US.
Now imagine how that looks for a factory that needs to be built, workers to be hired (with the legal costs of hiring), plans to be made, supply chains to be set up.
We're probably looking to around a decade of suffering before this has either the desired effect or it goes sideways, that's at least like half of what it took for other economies doing import substitution tariffs, so being twice as good as any other country that has tried this particular trade strategy is already pretty optimistic.
