General Wrestling Discussion

So, people were pissed at Booker T the other day, he had taken a pic with Chasyn Rance and students.
Rance, for those that don't remember, is a registered sex offender. Apparently, he has a lot of pull in the Florida wrestling scene, helping to train many young aspiring wrestlers. Rance also been friendly with many non-WWE wrestlers. Moose (TNA), Ivelisse, Kenny Omega had gotten a lot of shit for booking him on some show years ago. Highspots used to do an interview series called Best Friends, hosted by Chuck Taylor and Trent. I remember hearing that one of those videos was filmed in Chasyn's house. Yeah. A LOT of pull in the scene.

Anyways, Rance got himself in bigger trouble.
[Bixenspan on Bluesky] Chasyn Rance was arrested today for violating terms of his sex offender registration[...] Orange County Jail website says he failed tor report changes in vehicle ownership, failed to report an “internet ID, web page, or app name” 2x, and provided false registration info 3x.
Now, yes, Bix has his own thread on this site.
However, the image he posted...oof.

dudes a fucking scumbag Pedo, I can give Booker the benefit of the doubt here and probably didnt remember who he was, given the fact he has been prevelent in the indies its unfortunate people like him are tolerated

Cornette's comments about Borga's tattoo were pretty hilarious and true

Yeah, dude is a total scumbag tattoo but I won't blame someone for taking a photo with some guy they probably never heard of

The indies are filled with all sorts of the biggest degenerates and scum of the Earth that you can think of it's always been this way From AIDS-infected needles matches to wrestling blow up dolls and 9 year old girls. Probably the most infamous events I can think of nowadays is the shit that goes on at GCW's Effy's Big Gay Brunch events for obvious reasons.

it would probably be really tough to keep track of ALL of the people in wrasslin who've fucked kids

wait!
I've thought of a potential database that's ready for some slight modification, probably only a few to add and subtract....

thats also an unfortunate reality of it too, as much as a lot of people prefer the 80s/90s of wrestling (for often understandable reasons) todays locker room is probably a lot cleaner, not just in terms of pedo shit but things like drugs, various backstage controversies, etc., a lot of fans who are 4-12 years old now will probably be able to remember the wrestlers they liked in a more positive light when they become adults

from what I've heard they just learned to shut the fuck up about it because the onilnes exist and people press charges

Ripley beats Iyo and Belair (lets face it their probably making it a Triple Threat, they just have been really delayed with it)
This will likely be the outcome even though I would like to see Iyo retain. Both Rhea and Bianca have had lengthy championship reigns and Iyo has yet to have a WM win. Also if Asuka and Kairi are cleared by then, one scenario for Iyo retaining is the aforementioned duo get involved to have Damage CTRL become heels again.

I know it's "not the same" but I will never understand people that would grab a plane to go to Wrestlemania to do fuck huge lines and sit in the nosebleeds where you can barely see shit when it's cheaper than ever to stay home and watch on Peacock and Netflix. No lines at the bathrooms for the filler matches either. :story:
I've gone to a mania-adjacent thing when mania was in town, it was that show that was around when the Dixie Carter / Hardys drama blew up, and Bobby Lashley played up I AM THE CHAMP OF THE PROMOTION YOU ARE MAD AT AND A HEEL! really good
but yeah unless somebody at least pays for all of it and probably pays me there's no way I'd put up with the bullshit of all that,
I _might_ hit Arena Mexico if I catch an imminently terminal illness so jokes on them if random street crime kills me

glad hes ok, looks fuckin nasty
What is it with metal structures trying to kill this wonderful man?
Yeah, I'm not sure whether it's funny or horrifying that this likely isn't even the top 20 most dangerous things his body has been through. Thankfully he at least seems to have walked away from it on his own, and there were many, many matches he's been in where he couldn't say that by the end of them.

I'm curious about what the discussion was after the accident. Especially with what he's been through.

Although what's funny is that on April fools he made his debut in the wwf as Mankind and wrecked the Undertaker that day, so it's only befitting to survive that car crash and give death a "bang bang!"

wasn't there a time Shane O'Mac had to bail from a helicopter that was failing over water that was a similar "fortunately I've trained to do basically exactly this"
