I like to try to climb the online leaderboards in certain games. Some games I can make pretty good headway without a huge amount of effort, but with video pinball, no. Just like, lol. It's so much more of a struggle, even after really trying to learn2play. I can make some progress, but I know I belong on the short bus. It doesn't go any better on actual machines. I think my brain just can't comprehend Newtonian physics or something.Funny you mention that. I think I have a mental disability that makes me think I can be good at pinball.
Fighting games are like the opposite of driving a car: 90% of people think that they're below average at it.All fighting games. I love the genre and I go out of my way to play almost everyone that comes out and have also played most of the old ones, but I get more enjoyment playing in person with friends or simply just jumping online and seeing how far I can get by trial and error. I despise labbing and refuse to do it.
This is pretty normal too, tbh.Pac-man, Robotron and pretty much any classic arcade game. Like I know they're not intended to be "beaten" but I always found I could never get past four or five rounds even as an adult.
Yeah, Like you I enjoy the score leaderboards but something about Virtual Pinball confuses me. It's fun to play while watching second monitor but to try to get the real feeling of the actual machine is rough. Even videos where they are like ball feels heavy and goes into physics my brain is still like WTF?I like to try to climb the online leaderboards in certain games. You need to know at least some of the basic ratios and base-building techniques. You also need to be willing to just paste down more and more of something. Sometimes you just force yourself to play the game. I know all of this but burn out pretty quickly.Do I need to be more autistic to be good at Factorio? Is that what it takes?
I don't mind grinding xp to beat a boss but these games are about cheating and exploiting any and all systems, at which point you one-shot everything and the game is a joke. Very rarely is it kinda 50/50 whether you win or lose; it's a complet landslide in either direction.Shin megami tensei games.
Its games i've enjoyed playing but never end up beating, these games like to thrown long labyrinth dungeons at you so even if my builds are well managed and i am making progress i get filtered because i just don't have the focus and time at my age. You can be in the groove, then you drop it and when you pick up again in a week or two you have no damn clue what is it you were doing.
Thats true. The grind in this case would be collecting and fusing the demons to get a good buff and debuff combo that wrecks the boss. You'd still have to endure the labyrinth levels with very high encounter rate, some ares are very endurance test.I don't mind grinding xp to beat a boss but these games are about cheating and exploiting any and all systems, at which point you one-shot everything and the game is a joke.
