You know, I was going to take the time to debunk and explain everything wrong with these posts like I usually do, such as the fact that you literally CANNOT diagnose yourself with a personality disorder, and that common words cannot be "reclaimed", and how completely skewed their understanding of special interests are, but fuck it, I just can't do it anymore. It's shit like this that's killing me slowly knowing this is what I'm inevitably going to end up going against with my desire to enter the psychology field.

I can maybe forgive the one blogger that's 14, everyone is exceptional at 14, but the others, they're in their 20s+. These stunted pissbabies aren't growing up and out of it, they're just growing older. These are all potential future fucking patients, and this is what they're like.

At least 8 years I've been studying psych and psych treatments and the history behind them and I have NEVER heard of this kind of shit as a treatment for autism. I'm almost certain they're just trying to exaggerate so they can tie themselves to the gay conversion therapy bandwagon.

Besides, if such a treatment existed, I'm also certain it's in the "your autistic obsession with this thing is proving a detriment to your daily functioning and as such we think it's best if you limited your access to it until such a time as you get some self-control, or have you considered other interests that might be more productive than screeching about plastic trains." No one is saying an autist can't have a special interest, but when it's the complete purpose for your life instead of something like getting a job, then it's a fucking problem and yes it needs to be fucking treated. You cannot use "sorry I don't have the rent money this month; I spent my tardbux on useless toys and shit but it's okay because I'm autistic and it's my /special interest/" as an excuse.

Chris and his obsession with Sonic is the perfect example of this.

...why do people in Tumblr generalise EVERYTHING. It's like they're too stupid to see people as individuals. Are they really that dumb..? The inability to see people as individuals rather than pieces of a demographic is the one overriding, pervading flaw I see in basically everyone on Tumblr/in the social justice crowd. And seeing someone stray from the line makes their heads explode.
