Nobody is going to spend billions of dollars to rebuild American industry unless they have a good reason to believe that it will pay off in the long term. Trump raising tariffs with no larger plan and no concern for economic reality is not a good reason. Where the fuck do you live to be paying that much? Assuming you have average credit and no down payment, you might qualify for a 0% down payment FHA loan. For no money, you can get a 300k house for like 2600 a month with taxes and insurance rolled in. You build equity because it is legally your property and you own the title. Your landlord will never get a cent out of you. And then in five years you sell it for 20% more than what you paid (ideally). Let me know if I got anything wrong, because these loan programs are always changing.

This is absolutely terrible advice. If you buy a home without a down payment, you are paying all sorts of additional fees and you do not build any sort of equity in your home until years later, because you're paying almost entirely fees and interest for at least 10 years. Also, people cannot complain that younger people are being priced out of housing and yet also think they can sell their house for a 20 percent profit. Thinking like this caused the housing bubble in 2008.

If people wanted affordable house we can increase the number of houses being built and make home loans contingent on higher down payments. Otherwise, we're creating another housing bubble.
