Will you play it at launch?

Here's my judgemental asshole hunter. Some of the clipping is annoying.

What is your favorite Fashion Hunter set right now? My main is HR 76 and rocking the Death Stench set with a Bone [Beta] helmet. Looks rad.

Little bit of a mix. I'm looking forward to the day we get layered weapons. There's so many good designs for weapons that don't really see a lot of use.

I finally got to HR100 after hopping from save slot to save slot. I finally just made myself, and it looks scarily accurate, enough to freak out my sweet, sweet bae. I really like lance and hammer. Have the hammer buffs hit yet?

I chose to not spoil myself on what you get after reaching HR 100, because I thought it would be a fun reward to not know. Turns out it's some more melding options. COPING HARD that they will add monster quests post HR 100, maybe in 2 years. The arena is fun, but there are only 3 quests right now. I like all the casual armor you can forge with your shiny new coins; glasses, caps, and short pants. Mizutsune is beautiful, I hope all new monsters add a new flavor to the game like them. Also, it's funny how everyone gathers around to watch the singer in the Gathering Hub every night, makes it feel like a big party to celebrate the game. I hope they add new songs, maybe for the upcoming Spring Festival?

What are you all doing to keep busy? I have been making every good longsword for solo runs, and I might do the same for Hammer, GS, and Lance. I like seeing everyone's hunter, it's cool to know how you are rolling around in the wilds.

Taking a break. I dumped over 160 hours into the game already, I've got all the armor and my main weapons crafted. I guess I could be doing arena quests, but the rewards for those have never been very enticing to me so it's usually not worth using suboptimal builds for weapons I'm not particularly good with.

I'm basically just waiting for title updates at this point.

Your hunter looks like he's harshly judging peoples deco choices and trying to explain how they could squeeze .5% more damage out of their build.
You'd be correct with that character assessment of him.

I play whenever friends do. I hate playing this game solo, I've pretty much crafted every armor set for the transmog. The game is a lot more enjoyable with friends, and the TU update was a marginal improvement. But I'm still critical that everything in TU 1 should have been in the game on release.

Also I hate I can't set transmog sets on certain armor load outs. It's one of the better aspects of RiseBreak. I hate having to switch my fashion every time I switch my armor set because I'd like to use and make more fashion sets in such a manor where I can visually tell what armor set I have on. DPS, or gathering, ect.

I was just fiddling with this yesterday. I wanted to apply layered sets to equipment sets, because I have elemental loadouts and want my armor to match my weapon :( .

None of my friends play Monster Hunter, I made a squad with 50 people but it is very hard to reach them or send a message if they are offline. I wish we weren't on a cryptic forum hiding our identity so we could squad up lmao.

I'm going back and playing Rise again since I hated Wilds and never played Sunbreak.

What the fuck did they do to the music in this game? The elder dragon themes are complete dogshit.

Base Rise is iffy all over, it was pretty rushed since it was developed over covid and a lot of the music is pretty off. I think the music for Sunbreak monsters kicks ass though, so keep at it.

I'm still having a fun time. Still in high rank but monsters actually do damage in this game and I've carted a few times, although never failed a quest. Just about to start Sunbreak after I kill this faggot Valstrax (I used cheat engine because I'm not grinding to HR 100 again)

One other thing that's really annoying me though is that the maps are so fucking terrible. I think these are the most boring ones in the entire series. I'll shit on World and Wilds for being designed terribly, but they were at least visually interesting. The Rise maps are the worst of both worlds.

I only play when my friend is on, so that's a few hours every weekend. We're still only at HR 40 so there's plenty left for us to do. I'm currently building up resistance armour/ element weapon loadouts, jumping between IG and Gun Lance while considering the Hammer.

Anyone play Stories? They're on sale and they look like cute games, but I don't trust youtubers or game reviewers.
"Try" It, always try before you buy it hurts no one if you test a game then buy in fact I have bought many games I would not even bother to look at thanks to our sea fairing friends.

I believe both games have demos. I LOVE stories. Imagine Pokemon if Nintendo/GameFreak gave a shit.

Stories 1 is definitely harder than Stories 2. But Stories 2 has some improvement to the monsters upgrade systems and has World monsters.

Not a fan of Stories 1 compared to Stories 2, but they're both solid games. Don't go expected traditional MH obviously, and of course you can always "try" it first. You can also skip Stories 1 if you find it a bit lacking, you won't miss much.

I love everything about MH but the gameplay, so Stories was great. Yeah it's a "platinum games xbox 360" tier game; generic combat, generic story, generic everything, but if you're just wanting to play more MH they're good. I'd almost argue Stories 1 is a better entry than 2.
