No it's not. Art is mathematical. The time when art peaked was the renaissance when the autists got their hands into it and actually inserted the idea of perspective and geometry to it.
Ever since, artists did their best to ruin what the autists accomplished. The AI is the next step in art that would massively reduce the barrier of entry of creating media, but the artists seeth that they will become irrelevant again.
The Renaissance was awesome because Europe finally looked back at its own rich history instead of staying stuck in soulless Judeo-Platonism.
AI is a tool that can be used by artists to make art. AI in the hands of people with no artistic ability creates nothing more than slop.
Have you seen Shadiversity's drawings done without AI? They suck, and with AI, they also suck.

Shad might be the only human who's input makes the AI's output less creative.
People react to AI a little bit like they do to dolls. They get tricked by the illusion they created and anthropomorphize it.
The most creative AIs were those early DeepMind models. The newer ones are better at making pretty pictures but have nearly no creativity left.
If you actually enjoy feeling an interesting mood or emotion when experiencing real art, then AI is not the future.
Art is meant to be interesting and to let you experience something new.
AI is the exact opposite. It doesn't try to show you something interesting or new; it just tries to connect an image to the words based on averages. The perfect AI model shows you exactly what you asked for, if you are reddit.
All these 'meat-based AI image generators', aka NSFW artists, aka fan artists, will be replaced by AI.
True artists look forward to advancements in AI because it's another tool they can use.
