The Elder Scrolls

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
People talked about it a few pages back but it would be good to try to get a good enough understanding of what you actually need and then measure how much of a Wabbajack list you like is comprised of mods that are actually necessary or if it's just bloat. I want to say it's better to avoid mod compilations altogether but I don't really play Skyrim much to give a better answer.
I've done a bit more research and apparently you need a nexus premium account or it'll take forever, which i'm not doing because fuck giving jewmods any money.

There is only one person who came close to supporting Avowed(PatricianTV) and he already forgot it exists, calm down
He seems to have learned his lesson as he seemingly just vanished off the internet mid March. And he used to be on twitter constantly. Probably just sticking to his Patreon exclusive Discord echochamber now.

If the rumors of this thing dropping this month are not utter bullshit, I may unironically take a few days off just to try it out in peace. Desaturated Unreal Engine 5 slop or not, I'm too attached to the OG to ignore this remaster. I genuinely hope they kept/emulated the weird ass AI and dialogs. Oblivion is Oblivion thanks to Jeremy Soule and the utterly insane NPCs. Remove them and it's just Costco Skyrim larping as LotR.

lmfao, the moddibility of these games is their entire point and that's GONE with UE5.
Bethesda is well and truly cooked if this is the future they choose(or daddy Microsoft choose for them). I guess that means that a potential Fallout 3 remaster will also be in UE5, Bethesda/Microsoft will also cancel any fan efforts to remake the game themselves(which is already promising) as they have shown no remorse for pushing back the release of London with their shitty "Next Gen Update" nobody liked that broke everything.
People keep saying it's a remaster but it's more like a remake at this point if they used a whole new engine. Too bad it's UE5 meaning it will be your typical UE5 slop that will run like shit and look like shit. It also won't have any mods for it.

I wonder what QoL improvements the game will get. I also wonder if the dogshit leveling system is still in place.
hopefully many, I have to back-up my saves on my current game of Oblivion because they can get randomly deleted, if they can just make the stability of the game more akin to Skyrim I will be very happy

I'd rather them just release a stable and bugfixed version of oblivion on the same engine rather than a shitty ue5 remake with assets probably made by seamonkeys, and correct me if i'm wrong but ue5 is way harder to make mods for than the creation engine right?
Judging from a lot of the posts ITT it sounds as if Bethesda traded one shitty engine for another, only the current engine makes everything look a bit prettier and makes modding either impossible or very difficult. I don't know this stuff as well as others here but that's the impression I'm getting. Also, nostalgia-baiting people into buying this bullshit is apparently easy money for all these companies, which is why none of them are putting out new IPs worth a shit.

Yeah I thought that too. Its just some guy in fucking guard armor blocking the daedric symbol for some reason.
You gotta be jestin, no way you're this fucking retarded, right? This is literally the player character. This is YOU. It's directly referencing the trailers and OG promotional art. And it's not "guard armor", it's the armor of the Imperial Legion. Also, ICYMI, Oblivion gates are literally shaped like the daedric letter O. It's the gate to Kvatch, the very first you encounter and close. Kvatch itself is the burning rubble behind him.

Not the first time Bethesda fucks with modders, the most recent example is Bethesda releasing a completely broken "Next-Gen" update to Fallout 4 just a few days before Fallout London was set to release and forcing the modders to delay the release for months and even after months of work you still had to roll-back the shitty update, when shit like this happens one time you can easily write it off as a coincidence but this is not the first time so it's not crazy to think Bethesda is acting maliciously.

Tbf, it‘s highly doubtful that was the actual reason for Fallout London‘s delay. I have reasons to believe the lead simply used the update (which, yes, was an absolute mess) as justification for postponing the release.

Fucking, what? Is the guy retarded? It's terrible.

I still don't even really believe this shit exists. It feels fake as fuck. Bethesda announces things close to release USUALLY but they'd be building hype for a month or two at least.

I genuinely feel like this is journalist gay ops.
Agreed. It's either that or they think the game is going to suck and don't want to waste money advertising it. Whole thing just feels weird to me.

It's not being developed by Bethesda. It's likely Microsoft bungling everything related to marketing yet again.

Right, my bad, even then I don't see Microsoft shadow dropping one of the only things to be remotely excited about. A month or two with a few trailers at least.
