General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

If we're doing a graduation Deadpool Shiori is on a Collab spree and Nerissa sounded about ready to crack after having to announce she's in Japan indefinitely for work reasons.

The amount of collateral damage from the CC v. GG in the REPO collab is great. Man they love playing up that dynamic a lot.

The impostor syndrome from being #1 despite barely doing anything (especially for the past, what, two years?) would get to most people, along with just general performance anxiety. I know Cover had to have fought tooth and nail to convince her not to leave so they can keep using the Gura character in some capacity, but trying to convince her to say with anything along the lines of "You don't need to work nearly as much as your friends we'll still pay you" would probably make most people feel even worse about staying somewhere.
She's been bullshitting with her health "issues" for years and making cute little posts on her pre-holo acc now and then. A honest or at least guilty and remorseful person would not have behaved this way. Also I don't get the posts about "performance anxiety". She was shitposting pre-holo and streaming during 2020/21 just fine. What anxiety?

Apparently cover stock tanked by like 5%, I checked and it looks like its recovering. But god damn, if a single talent made their stock tank that much, I wonder whats gonna happen when fubuki leaves

Anycolor is down too, it seems to be more of a general stock market contagion.

I feel like 3 posts in the span of 5 years (only 2 of those being while she was actually active as gura) is probably stretching the definition of what one might call "making cute little posts now and then"

As for the performance anxiety. It might have to do with the fact her average audience size was magnitudes larger than anything that she was doing pre holo. She was a 3 view for the most part as a streamer pre holo. Within holo she generally had 25k+ viewers. That's a very different streaming atmosphere.

There's a huge difference between shitposting as a small streamer and doing it as the biggest vtuber and a prominent face of one of, if not the largest, vtuber companies. You have to be an actual drooling retard to think those are comparable.

Iirc, there have been more posts in that window, she's just deleted them once they served whatever the purpose was.

Note that Chloe, Shion and Aqua were recent and those were JP. It's on both sides.
Yes but to be fair, two of them have actual health issues one can assume are related and Aqua was around for like 7 years. Sure she could have coasted along but if that's not what she wanted then there's no reason to draw it out. This yet again has fuck all info given about what was "the problem" and more or less just lines up with someone going their own way.
Chloe also went affiliate which so far doesn't mean a whole lot, but it's still a different stamp on the goodbye card at the very least. Aqua is the only one I would say is an oddity with it.

Shion when she came back pretty much stated a big part of her issue was motivation and realizing that her wanting to stream, and her wanting to stream as her job were two different things that she had to sort out. Which even loops back around to how "differences with management" says fuck all. It entails the potential that she didn't want it to be a stressful work thing for her. It also possibly means something along the lines of "It feels like too much work these days" is differences with company direction. Which as someone who joined early on yeah, could just mean more effort for consistency and idol shit are stuff she didn't want to deal with. Both of which frankly sound like motivational issues on her end as far as what she said goes.
Yes, it could ALSO mean "Covurrr iss... LE BAD!" But there's less info for that than the idea a girl with mental issues was having a motivation problem in her 20s.

Realistically anybody who isn't using it as an escape from shitshows they barely got away from (like Marine and Lui getting out of black corpo shitholes) and has been around for a few years has any number of reasons to want out. Maybe they want out to go have an offline life. Maybe they feel like they could do something better or better solo. Some of them joined fairly young and probably don't even know what the difference is between paperwork for their Holo job and any other mind numbing wagie shit. Of course on that end for all I know it's actually the same slop but with more dancing. It's still ungiven info. It certainly hasn't been bad enough to chase out the older office ladies who dealt with that shit for years so yeah, I think I'll take their words for it over random Internet people.

So comparatively from my angle, EN is the only ones who have harder to pin down situations. Which isn't even true for Mumei (and Gura as far as I recall) who have health issues, or Gura and Ame who had motivation/burnout issues, with Gura quite possibly just breaking down due to the spotlight. All of which still gives as much credence to "Didn't want to deal with Cover or being the faces of vtubing" as much as it does "Cover is on fire for real bro!" with a says nothing statement.

whats funny is two talents have hinted at real issues within cover but they still hold back their tongue.
its ex holostar talents so it could just be the stars side being awful.
I think why we never hear anything from ex hololive talents is they hire the type that would not start drama. Many talents have talked about how cover does big background checks on people to make sure they wont start shit with other talents or the corpo its self. Also cover most likely has contracts that aren't jokes like niji and many other smaller corpos.
Even ignoring that, Altare just came back and flat out admitted he almost graduated too. He's vocally complained about some stuff on stream last I recall. But again, nobody cares about the people who admit to it and decide "No I'm going to stick it out." because you can't peddle shit with it. It's still an issue of people who actually watch and pay attention already know management sucks ass sometimes. But they never seem to be the people who are going ape shit trying to doom for some reason.

What about her streaming to a much larger audience earlier into holo career? Why ignore that? She's been on the internet for the longest time ever, why would view count matter when it was much higher when she was streaming a lot more? Why would she make stuff with Belle Delphine, one of the largest zoomers on the internet if she was afraid of attention?
Way to refute my point by ignoring over half of it. Pretty obvious that most of the dips running defense for both Cover and Gura are just #tards doing their usual routine of misreading and deflection just to feel like they're on the winning team. Don't reply with more deflections or childish insults, I don't enjoy engaging with blatant shills.

I don't recall that having ever happening but if someones got it to show then color me wrong. (The internet shit it self any time she tweeted as Senzawa even that 2022 tweet had people thinking she was about to graduate to put into perspective how long people have been expecting her departure, so certainly if there are tweets that I don't recall and have been deleted they're archived out there and someone can post them)

you mean the period of time referenced in her graduation announcement where she said the stress of that audience size led her to periods where she was unable to eat and keep food down?

I don't think anyones ignoring that time, you seem to be ignoring all the signs, and her directly saying that she struggled with that stuff though.
