:coom:"Now guys, it seems like we've hit the bottom of the resurgence. Now that the Casino drama has fallen off and "and another product" has come to popularity, I've had to make some changes so I can appeal to new audiences. I spent some time talking to OIC and this is what we have come up with."

Yes, all content creators, e celebs, and streamers are whores and we as society need to go back to treating entertainers as barely above gypsies in the social pecking order.

I get it dude, Lex has a nice rack and the thought of her banging clams with another fake lesbian is arousing DISGUSTING IM MARRIED DOOD, but come on, people spent weeks posting bikini pictures of her because they are lonely simps, not because of her robust streaming content.
Eh, I'd impregnate them both.

Seeing Gahoole on with DSP took me by surprise I have to admit.

If you are familar at all with PPP's orbiters/jealous lovers he ranks even below the writers room as far as notoriety and pull. Though out of all those guys I always thought Gahoole genuinely liked PPP as all of them try to emulate what he does in the end.
Birds of a feather type situation. The sektur is all about backstabbing each other for drama, so of course people in the sektur all hate each other.

Dear fuck, no! We do not need a DarkSydePhilippa arc (unless King Radovid is also going to gouge his eyes out).

Seeing as DSP cheated bankruptcy purely because he wasted money in such a novel way that the law didn't account for it, in the movie Brewster's Millions would he be able to fulfill the requirements by just sitting on his ass and playing gacha 24/7 to fulfill the the terms of the estate?

(for any of you young niggers who don't know, the plot of the movie is a guy inherits a fortune of money by being the last relative of a great uncle who passes away. He can either take $1 million and walk off and be done with it - or he can take $30 million and spend it ALL within a month, but he can't just give it away, and he can't tell anyone he has to spend it all and if he does that he gets $300 million)

DSP isn't the hero you're looking for.

I don't think gambling was allowed to a ridiculous extent though?
Brewster is required to demonstrate business sense by obtaining good value for the money he spends, limiting his donations to charity, his losses to gambling, and the value of his tips to waiters and cab drivers. Moreover, Brewster is sworn to secrecy, and cannot tell anyone why he is living to excess. Working against him are his well-meaning friends, who try repeatedly to limit his losses and extravagance even as they share in his luxurious lifestyle.

See the WWE Champions clause means you're paying "good value for the money you spend" by getting sweaty wrestler JPEGs that are ostensibly worth nothing in the end. In any rational world it would mean you're just wasting money but since so many people play gacha and spend a fortune on it, you're just paying the "fair, market value" for something which carries no value in the future.

It's also not gambling because you don't win anything back financially - you always lose in gacha and just get shitty JPEGs as a return.

Love the movie, and now i feel old.

Actually, probably not. It would mean he needs to spend 700 dollars every minute, 24/7, for a month. Unlikely.
And if you count the infaltion since 85', he would have to spend two and a half thousand per minute for a month. Even if he "plays" multiple phone gatcha games he wont be able to.

I'm 100% sure scopely would just gradually introduce more and more bullshit extra currencies and features to accommodate it.

This would be where the Marathon Streams come in. He has to show that he's doing it all for content, so he loads up on Gin and adderall (he's autistic, he can get a script) and has at it. Somehow it might likely become his best content ever.

Anonymouse leaked sone discord chats and came here hoping to be a hero. We called out the pedo and threatened him and he fled. Hopefully, he has since roped himself.

Does anyone know if Blastoise is Duncefelter? They both love to spam emoticons.
AFAIK no. Blastoise got banned on YouTube so if it was him he'd probably also have gotten the axe on Kick.

I'm doing my part to make DSP and the DSP subforum more interesting:
OT But I thought that was a troll with how retarded their first post was. Good lord some people are fucked in the head.

It could be.

For anyone not aware: because 4chud got hacked and it'll probably take a few weeks for it to come back online (if it ever does in the same form) kiwichuds is going to have lots of refugees. You probably won't feel it much in the DSP subforum because this place is a little isolated island but the Farms' culture may change over time because of this (and at the very least you'll see new users who don't fit in that well)

In the containment/onboarding thread Der Feeder said he approved of the refugees and that it's overblown. Someone even asked him how they should explore the site and another person even asked how to use the watch thread feature(!!!!111)
I suspect shenanigans and think that this is a 5D op by him to drive traffic to this site.

"Everything is fine" - :null: as the 4chanians turn this place into Kiwistan

Back on topic, I have my reservations that entering the Sektur will actually have many long-term effects. Most of the batshit insane people are on Phil's side (somehow), and I don't see any of the IRL aloggers like Jesse showing any interest in fucking with him. He just might escape the Sektur without incurring any damages, with not even Metokur could do.

It probably is overblown and it is a good way to drive new users to the site (which whether you or me or anyone else likes it is critical for KF to survive) and it's also a magic 8 ball situation where everyone can pretend like they know what is going on and what will happen but no one knows anything.

Such an event is not only unprecedented but also can cause the shifting of the tides to change because of how significant it is and isolated to KF its consequences may be overblown but it may instigate much larger changes in internet usage and culture that blow over to not only da farms but to many other places.

edit: to add to that hospitality for the userbase of another controversial/non-FAANG website costs very little, even if it brings with it a small fraction of objectively bad users, it does help with the "KF mission" overall and can help the website in the long run. 4chan in particular is quite an old website with such a broad and diverse userbase that it isn't very fair to paint them with an overly broad brush to say they're bad users that shouldn't be here - the tide could change overnight and KF's users may get the same hostility from somewhere else.

We'll see how it plays out. I think (for worse) TikTok has replaced 4chan as the epicenter of capital-I Internet culture. There was a time I saw people reference cheezburger in normal online conversation, now it's "rizz" and "gyat". That's not to say there won't be a knock-on effect on the larger internet (depending on the board, e.g. /vt/ switched sites while /a/ is fucked), but it would've been a lot more catastrophic this happened in 2017 for example.

Incidentally, the DSP community is a pretty good cross-section of the larger internet. Between here, YouTube, and Xitter you have a sample of around 90% of the Internet userbase - basically everywhere but Reddit since DSPDiscussion got nuked - so looking at how things change here is a good way to gauge that effect.

Part of all of these changes is also just realizing that you're/we're all getting older and the young generation does shit differently. It's very true that TikTok is much more popular as a space for "internet culture" than 4chan or anywhere else simply given its scale - however it is also very possible to argue that it isn't even "internet culture" since its mainly not-anonymous and the format is video which makes it more akin to Candid Camera-esque or "everyone in the future will be famous for 15 minutes"-style "content". For the most part TikTok "culture" can and is commercialized.

DSP community isn't that good of a cross-section IMHO (depending on what you're looking for) since it is like 90% males and the topic of interest we all revolve around is one that most sane/productive people turn off of once they've explored it for a little bit. It is also very, very isolated - but maybe you're right that that is a good way to see how larger internet changes impact the discussion here and with detractors (sort of like the historic air samples that people use for scientific stuff because they were collected pre-Chernobyl).

It's also the case that DSP as a topic can't really be commercialized. Yes, people can profit off of DSP but substantial corporations can't commercialize interest in him and even if they tried it would probably go extremely badly. That's sort of the case for KF and 4chud also - highly interesting spaces and topics but real companies can't engage with them much and their userbases would revolt if they tried to.

Gene Hackman didn't have the internet to help the black fella pay to play, but that was basically the concept of him buying the cubs, because they were sure to lose money,..
