And it's an actively developed multiplayer game, which means premium vehicles are often extra "balanced", tempting you to swipe your credit card to stop eating shit by a kid with his premium Tiger or VIDAR.
But it's nowhere near the worst game Karl has shilled, for all the memes about Raid Shadow Legends, it's not just generic gacha slop, it's owned by an Israeli casino company with proven ties to Mossad.

I understand now! I remember playing World of Tanks from its conception. From what you said War Thunder sounds like a more developed version of that monetization scheme.
Simply I wanted something like that mecha experience. So I would play WoT. I get free everything. Can't win shit. Because the people who are, have been paying to unlock the tank tree. and buy the premium tanks.

Comparably, If you had the starting weapon in a battlefield game, you could reasonably compete and catch up to those who have more progression. In games like WoT and War Thunder, the balance is heavily favored to the higher tier and you can't compete.

I will admit that I liked his speed run cheater videos. It's sort of like true crime-lite. It's fun to see how someone gets away with faking speed runs for so long and how someone else with extreme autism goes through footage with a fine-tooth comb to figure out that they were cheating, but the entertainment value of seeing Karl get his shit fucked up has far surpassed his regular content. His own drama is going to eclipse whoever he's throwing dirt at. Not only because having a questionable character is going to affect the credibility of his content, but also because what he's serving up isn't as juicy.
