And what is the deal with his teeth? With respect, did you ever take him to a dentist? If it's just discolouration then I highly suggest buying him whitening toothpaste, he looks like a 5 pack a day smoker. If it is actual dental neglect, he's going to start losing teeth within the next 5 years or so.

Dental care is not covered under the Canadian health care system unless it's medically required dental surgery (clearing out an abscess, pulling teeth preparing for dentures, etc.). You still need private insurance or pay for it yourself.
