Its just the nature of people seeking more of a return of their streaming investment, the market is so saturated people will just want what sells because doing an honest effort to be actually unique is actually hard and most will not want to do it, which just leads to a loop of retards doing the "succubus catgirl vtuber" because they see that this one retard gets to be a 3 view doing it and wanting some of that success, if you apply that to people doing gimmicks, the avenues for attention are even lowered (granted, alot of these gimmicks are shit). And again, gimmicks or unique takes on it wont matter in concept if the actual application (i.e the actual personality of the streamer) is dogshit, which most who are unpopular are.
