Literally me rn. Had to go to work before leaving the sewers and everything seemed okay despite being under min sys specs. Get the feeling that's gonna change real fast when I step out into the open world.

I just meant in that it added a bunch of unnecessary visual crap and "upgrades" that nobody asked for. Maybe Overcharged is a better comparison.

Played a little bit of it on Xbox and it runs and looks good. Combat definitely feels better than Skyrim to my memory from long ago. Some janky visual effects. I think there's a slight issue with HDR and blacks especially on the intro with Patrick Stewart. I'll be honest I'll never play much beyond the sewers because I don't have the time but it's a nice little nostalgia trip.
 
Why does everyone think the original game had "soul"? It was a clear attempt by Bethesda to massively casualise and simplify the role-playing experience of Morrowind to appeal to a much wider audience, and it succeeded at that. It has a lot less character than Morrowind and is mostly a very generic low-fantasy medieval Europe type world. I love it but it was a very "normie" experience and let's not pretend it was anything different.

This whole "current year = slop/20 years ago = soul" narrative is highly retarded.

It's not even really pissing in our face though. It's more like a minor inconvenience that they become extremely uppity about if you dare to correct it. I just think it's weird that if the game came prepackaged with male/female instead of numbered body types they wouldn't care.
BIG HUGE MORAL OUTRAGE OVER CHANGING NUMBERED BODY TYPES TO BIOLOGICAL SEXES! Total radio silence when sexes are default.

Hey guys, I made a mod to fuel the culture war and test itch.io. Grummz immediately retweeted me.
It replaces Oblivion's Type 1 and Type 2 with Female and Male, a pretty simple locres edit. You can find it at https://tulpatownw.itch.io/oblivion-remastered-malefemale-body-type

I created an account with DEG mods because I kinda wanna support that guy, but I have to host the file somewhere. I don't know about catbox - does that let me host a file there indefinitely? Ill post it here too

He's building like it's still the 2010's. It was common for gaming PCs of that era to have an i5 and a high end GPU. The higher end CPUs weren't much of a priority unless you played strategy games or also wanted to make videos.
