Diseased #Comicsgate - The Culture Wars Hit The Funny Books!

People gave him so many good recommendations, too. But those manga weren't exactly like his 1980s Marvel comics, so he dropped them.

Let's be real anime and manga for the most part suck. Most of the good stuff is from the 80s and 90s when it largely stuck to western(white) storytelling conventions. Now it's all character driven nonsense with absurd plots.

Anime especially really had a chance to take over and gain a global audience seeing as how Hollywood's storytelling chops have also declined but they failed to capitalize and now it's as niche as ever.

Yes, but some of that good stuff does come over here and it's still new to Richard. But he'll find reasons to hate it because it's not exactly like Larry Hama G.I. Joe or Chris Claremont X-Men.

If your idea of modern anime and manga is limited to isekai slop that do nothing with the premise then it is on you.

Hardly, every now and then, a series breaks into mainstream success. Saying it is as niche as it was in the past shows how you know nothing. For many people, manga have replaced comics and anime have replaced cartoons. We do not live in the world where people have not even heard of a property they like. Granded, One Piece broke a lot of that ground but the fact that you find reviewers pick up manga for the first time all the time is true now. Things have changed.

You are allowed to say it sucks but it is more popular than ever and gone mainstream in usa. Go in Wal Mart and see how much merch there is if that is not capitalizing and on a mainstream level I don't know what is.

Liam has been back in comicsgate for a full year but he's now starting beef with Von Klaus and deleted his entire channel again for the tenth time except two videos. This indicates he may be doing his heel turn or other cyclical repetitive Leem activity. Now all other Liam vids you may have downloaded or archived are shiny rares.
Don't worry one day all those deleted streams will show up on a site he can't DMCA strike like a angry koala roight.

Zack channeling his inner MovieBob calling the BPCs less than humans
We need to ask him about his opinions on eugenics

Cannot forget Eric July
He's so bothered that people want something they paid for to be on time. I guess more people are comparing these clowns to Eric since he's so close to CG and realizing they don't need to wait years for a book and it's getting to him. Unless you're making something purely for yourself, you need to be punctual and respect the time of others. Art being late doesn't make it art. If you can't stick to your own schedule, you're lazy, incompetent or up your own ass. Possibly a combination of all 3.

Still seething about Furiosa
Buddy needs to just accept that no one gave a shit about that mediocre movie. We all have that movie we like that was poorly received. It happens, get the fuck over it. I mean sure it probably happens to Meyer more often since his movie taste is shit, but still

Literally posting stuff that proves my point.

Everything featured is old stuff - Dragonball, Naruto, old Studio Ghibli movies, One Piece. Most of that stuff from the 90s.

Anime is niche as fuck nowadays and every series and movie I've tried to watch on recommend has been a total piece of shit and is usually unwatchable. There's are a handful of anime films that have made a dent at the US box office and most of them are Dragonball and Pokemon.

Your point is still stupid. There is current stuff in the store I saw there when I turned off the internet and left the house, try it. I just google searched anime Walmart to have a pic. Go fight weebs in a weeb thread or something, I'm here to make fun of comics grifters and their mongoloid followers.

Speaking of grifters and mongoloids, I finally found the EVS crowdfunding books and its one long set of bad comments from people who gave him money. Is it like Rekieta where he has a few die hards left or is it all over for Rainbow Brute and Cyberfrog? Some people were commenting that he is not working on the books any more. Appalling

Well, I bought two of them early on and I'd never buy one again. It's funny how much difference there is between the ComicsGate dumpster fire in comics and the Old School Rennaissance (a similar movement) in Tabletop Roleplaying. There is certainly a lot of drama in the OSR but it hasn't consumed the movement which is mostly dominated by talented professionals like Alexander Macris. Meanwhile you look at ComicsGate and it's just depressing.

What is the OSR? I have been playing Tabletops for about 5 years but not really into the community.

Basically, it started when people started publishing retro-clones of B/X (Basic Set and Expert Set) D&D and AD&D first edition, which became an alt-publishing movement that used to do a lot of crowdfunding. (It's less crowdfunding dependent now though, people have their own storefronts.)

Thank you for the information! Always trying to keep things fresh.

Dude, "I don't like it" is not an argument for popularity or lack thereof. There is undeniably a larger of amount of anime shit in the west being marketed now then there was years ago. You not liking Solo Leveling doesn't mean people aren't shitting their pants in excitement over it. I can't even get away from my job without people talking about anime or manga, but if I brought up comics, they would look at me like I sprouted a second head.

Yeah pretty much. He has a few devoted paypigs who are completely fine with EVS bending them over to make 8+ hour long seethe streams. He claims he's working on the books, but obviously that's bullshit since it doesn't take over 4 years to get one of these things out even if you're working solo if you really sit down and put in the hours.

Rekieta's begun his 5-year redemption arc. EVS on the other hand...

The Indiegogo comment sections for Ethan's books have been beseiged by angry comments since Rekt Planet and Snowman. I won't say he doesn't give a fuck-he will hand out a refund every now and then-but it's pretty close. For my experience I was very vocal about the delays and was given a refund for Reignbow the Brute without asking for one. Since it's backer-comments only this shut me up real quick.

I highly doubt he just outright stopped working on the books, however he uses the slop Rippa puts out as an excuse to take his time, probably drop it for days on end. If it was Cyberfrog 3 I would sort of understand (it's his flagship and family health issues popped up) but Reignbow the Brute is just a parody comic he insisted was no big deal. I see zero excuse for the tardiness on that one.

I wonder about the psychology of these devoted paypigs. I understand tolerating delays by a few weeks or months, if there had been good reasons for these delays, but years? That's just pathetic.

As opposed to other paypigs? It's a talking point at this stage but the truth is when Ethan gets off his ass and delivers it's almost always top notch. He lives off this. I'm sure you've seen the folks saying "As long as it's good I'll wait" or something to that effect. I personally do not find this to be a valid excuse for a three-year delay but your mileage may vary.
