Okay, terminally retarded, got it. CoD """movement""" is unfiltered watered down dogshit for braindead zoomers. It has never deserved to be called a "movement" shooter until the most recent one where they actually built the gameplay around intentional movement mechanics rather than adderall fueled YY abuse shit. Apex movement is also quite literall TF|2 mechanics but stripped down in every regard and it's not a coincidence that the most fun Legends to play are Octane and Pathfinder. Zoomers may have labeled CoD as a movement shooter but it never was one. CoD players scorn TF|2 because they'll get beamed by a guy going 100mph through the air with a kraber before they can get off the ground.

I'm just being spiteful about the game due to Respawn whoring out Titanfall's corpse to prop up Apex. It's the next best thing that TF fans are gunna get short of playing against the same G100 autistis in TF|2 for eternity. Which is a depressing thought.

Every time I play Apex I feel the phantom pains. My friends love the game but it feels uncanny to me.

I had this mindset for awhile but I understand why Respawn made the choices they did. TF2 was sensory overload for normies and as tryhards got good they couldn't help but gatekeep new players so the game just bled out. Apex dialed everything back so average players could actually enjoy the game giving Respawn a consistent paycheck. I love TF2s skill expression and movement but I'd rug pull all the speed autists too if it means having a more stable career.

That and they all dream of having an E sports scene and anything fun is not "balanced".

Also when they map out how much money people will need to spend to complete the battlepass they don't want people speeding it up by giving you a tank spawn, they want you to stick to the average assault rifle kills per match.
 
What's the point of reviving a long dead IP when the story it told is finished, no one who played it back in the day is that into gaming when they're like 50+ years old and younger people won't recognize it, the gameplay and style is completely different than the original and all in all would've done better as a Destiny side project or an original IP? Not to mention the lack of a single-player campaign or story, e-sports faggotry and the game's genre being oversaturated to all hell and back. Shit like this is why AAA gaming is dying: too many higher-ups making retarded decisions that don't make any sense just to chase after trends that have already died.

Off topic, but the Byzantines were the descendants of the Eastern Roman Empire. The Romans made all Greeks freemen when they were conquered, many Roman emperors in the later empire came from modern day Greece, Serbia, Anatolia and the Illyrian Provinces (which includes modern day Croatia, Montenegro and Albania) which was the core Byzantine territory and they even spoke Latin in much of those territories (to the point that Romanian is a Romance language and it was on the periphery of the Eastern Roman/Byzantine Empire). They also spoke Latin during the coronation ritual for the Byzantine emperor all the way until the last emperor was deposed in 1453. In addition to adopting many Roman customs, it's more fair to call the Byzantines the successors to Rome.

The Ottomans and the Russians that say they're Roman are just LARPers however. At their core, they're just barbarians that never really understood what made Rome truly Roman and just think conquering it or being adopting some aspects of Roman culture makes you Roman. They're cultural trannies to put it another way.

As with anything, it has become one the games "you watch a video about calling it deep and underrated but never actually play, nor does the youtuber", bungie is using it because Destiny lorefags love to draw connections, namely, that all Bungie games are connected, it's just another way to create whales really.
 
Late to the party but I absolutely detest this artstyle. Making your characters have inhuman proportions is not done by making them look like ridiculous dragclowntroons, it’s done by making them look like gundams.
And not a single soul genuinely likes bauhaus aesthete. It’s deranged and stupid, give me a game set in hyperborea instead of this!

Call of Duty DMZ also had vehicles, it was fun riding around in 6-men teams, terrorizing the whole map.
Marathon maps are a little small for vehicles but Bungie may add them as seasonal content, if the game succedes.
