I don't need another AR, but I might just have to get this for the memes.Who’s buying the Hi-Point AR?

I'd be all about picking up a stripped lower just for the rollmark (and also the memes).I don't need another AR, but I might just have to get this for the memes.
are these gonna be the new lowers people buy for poverty builds?Who’s buying the Hi-Point AR?

Unless they beat out Anderson's continuous 3 lowers for 90 bucks, doubt it.are these gonna be the new lowers people buy for poverty builds?
I think they are 500 each, no way they are selling the rifle for equivalent to the price of a hi-point pistol.Did I understand that correctly.
Pistol AND rifle for $500?
I mean you can can get a a complete PSA upper + lower for $350 + shipping, so somewhere around $400 total. There use to be sales where you could get it even cheaper than that. Not sure how they are going to compete in the poverty pony market especially when this is a entirely new product.Who’s buying the Hi-Point AR?
if they came out with a "Hi Point Problem Solver" ar-15 that was some kind of blowback pistol caliber carbine (or pistol, et c) that might sell on meme value alone.Putting out bottom barrel ARs is a game of scale and I doubt hi-point can compete with PSA in that game. Even if they can push it down to the same price point as PSA or Anderson it will be at the cost of what little qc still exists.
Maybe $350 - $500. If you need an exact value, I'll run it from my Blue Book of Gun Values. It's all market and geographic area driven in any case.Out of curiosity, how much does a 16ga slamfire-capable Ithaca 37 go for? I inherited this one from my grandfather, not planning on selling it but I'd like to know if it's worth maybe cleaning it up. It's in decent shape for the most part, the furniture is rather "dull" though.

Agreed 100%. Glock 19 sized shit is the best intersection of concealability, shootability, and comfort. If you're gonna go for a pocket size I recommend the bodyguard 2.0 in 380, which is going to be my next purchase. Please don't buy a tiny pocket pistol as your first gun.
They typically are not fun to shoot.
Look for something about the SIZE of a glork 19 or 48.
22lr is a great caliber to start with though!
Ruger 22/45 or Browning Buckmark make for excellent first pistols IMO.
yes, and people have done it in .45 Long Colt, .38 ACP, even 9x25mm Mauser, although not magazine fed. the basic layout is convenient for large calibers with the sole exception of needing a robust breechblock that can deal with the pressure generated as well as cycle reliably without magazine overruns. with a C96, the breechblock is back far enough that poor cycling is prone to failures much more so than on a more typical browning layout where the feed is controlled by portions of the frame, slide, and breech to active guide the cartridge into position.Hey @Club Sandwich , is my stupid idea of a modernized C96 in .454 Casull even possible?
What program is this? Looks like something interesting I could use once my reloading bench is finished.jesus christ this program is intimidating.

I'd only recommend PSA as range toys or someone who shoots like twice a year.I mean you can can get a a complete PSA upper + lower for $350 + shipping, so somewhere around $400 total.
