Mega Rad Gun Thread

Shot a Shadow Systems MR920 recently.
The MR920 worked fine with factory Glock mags. Despite its gaudy appearance, the gun was unremarkable.

But Holy shit, those Magpul Glock mags are terrible. The gun couldn’t fire a single round without stovepiping or double feeding.

Fucking scary as shit. Someone has bet their life on those mags.

Sounds like that might be a Shadow Systems problem. I've got various capacity Magpul Glock mags, and they've functioned without any issue in my Glocks with a variety of 115 and 124 grain FMJs, as well as 124 grain Speer Gold Dot. That said, I carry with OEM Glock mags.

Edit: Or the mags themselves might've been clapped out. Well used?

Hate them. I had a few I threw into my bag for competition because you can always use more mags and almost every match I use them I have to rip them out of the gun because they won’t drop free after a few hours of standing around in the sun

I'd only recommend PSA as range toys or someone who shoots like twice a year.
Yes. Their low-cost stuff is good bunch of trashblasters, but I hear enough mixed things about their "premium" high-cost rifles that I would still replace the BCG and at least attempt to pull the barrel for inspection.
H&R/NoDakSpud has actual QC and dignity so if you want something that actually works well they're a safe bet.

You see a Gucci gun choke on aftermarket mags and think it's representative of the magazine's reliability? Are you shitting me?

Alright, 1911 users. What are you go to mags? I'm sick of seeing people arguing on forum threads from 2005. I see Chip McCormick and Wilson Combat 7 rounders go for about the same price $25. I've seen enough people have rapid spring wear with 8 round Wilson 47Ds that I'm sort of shying away from them. I saw one boomer complaining Wilson combat mags "don't have the dimple" but otherwise people seem to like them a lot. I know mecgar is also pretty good for the money, their comp mags are like $20.

I don’t understand why anyone buys the Glock pmags when factory Glock mags are only like 10 bucks more expensive and work perfectly. Brand recognition?

I use Wilson combat and 60 year old surplus Argentine mags.

Yeah? Because I tested both types of mags in the same gun.

Factory mags worked perfectly, magpul mags (which it was sold with) didn’t work at all.

What else am I supposed to learn from that?

You dropped the money on an MR920 and don't understand the phrase "sample size of one"? Lol wut
Magazines don’t work for people testing them on YouTube, don’t work for the other posters in this thread.

Have you considered that maybe you’re just retarded?

Magpul dicksuckers take pride in putting gray plastic crap in as many places as they can.

Yeah I haven't even used the mapgpul mags that came with my RxM. Been using OEM mags

I didn’t, I shot a friends gun.

I’m not dumb enough to trust 3rd party shit without trying it.

I only run OEM as well because that's all I got
Then why even argue, you’ve got no skin in the game.

Mec-Gar. Paul Harrell swore by them.

But you do come to quick conclusions about a product based on a single experience with a friend's Gucci Glock clone.

Then why even argue, you’ve got no skin in the game.
I hate it when people post stupid shit about guns. I know what you said is stupid but others coming to this thread for quality information might not.

Commercially, they'll axe any model that isn't the m17 or m18; at least that's how I see it.
I hope so. I liked the M17, besides the weird safety/slide release ergonomics, it felt like a much better gun than the P320 in the times I’ve shot it.

Even before the safety thing, the p320 is just extremely mediocre.
