Yeah I was watching the shortened version of the interview with Chris by GamerFromMars. How Chris just starts blabbing about random things all the time would be maddening after a while. It also reminded me of him jabbering in the back of the cop car when he was arrested. No wonder the police thought Chris was on drugs.

Chris lives there, let’s Caden sell Chris inspired merch and “officially” approves it as part of the agreement.

Either this is instead of or covers part of Chris’s rent.
Maybe Caden just actually really likes Chris or possibly there is some legal stuff, thanks to the autist law in Virginia preventing them from putting an autist on the streets, which has benefited Chris by way of obligating Caden as he offered a place for Chris to be released to.

Then Chris is free to spend tugboat money on trips to Finland.

If flutter has the money or her family are oddly ok with it, she helps him with flights to and from Finland.

The simplest explanation as to why Flutter’s family may be ok with him is that she just really has been a friendless recluse her whole life and now they are happy she has a friend.

This sounds like a miserable existence for a normal person, but the more I think about it, the more I believe it is exactly what Chris needs.

Chris being kept on a short leash? Good! We've seen what he gets up to when left to his own devices.

Vetting Chris' friends? Good! All of the friends Chris has ever had in his life have either been trolls or arranged by others. Better the latter than the former.

Chris not getting much money from his Etsy sales? Doesn't matter. If he were to go about it on his own, he'd screw it up anyway and not earn anything.

Even just having a landlord who will automatically take the rent out of the tugboat before Chris has a chance to blow it all on junk is a positive step for him.

Chris isn't fit to live on his own. Even under incompetent guardians Bob and Barb, he got himself into tons of trouble socially, legally, and financially. I'm not saying that Caden/Praetor is some saint -- quite the opposite. But the current arrangement seems to be keeping Chris fed, out of jail, away from weens, and not homeless. Probably having some sort of a social worker perform those functions instead of a low-level drug-dealing delinquent would be better, but that's just not the way our society is set up. What we're seeing isn't the optimal arrangement, but I think it's preferable to Chris trying to stumble through life without any help.

From what I remember about the deferral, there was something like a 30 day stipulation in a group home, but nothing after that. GFM said that Caden worked something out with Heilberg and Gateway was fed up with Chris, and I took that to mean that they worked something out for the post jail stuff.

Chris also wasn't adjudicated as needing a guardian in any of the court documents, so it's unlikely Caden has any guardianship over him. Chris is free to travel to other countries without him it seems like.

But the big thing is if Chris even knows he has rights, and more importantly, any proof that he lives in Big Island. He had mail go to a PO Box, and then to Branchland, maybe all his other documents go there too. I could see Caden assuring him "All that boring paperwork is handled" and Chris being happy he doesn't have to deal with it with living there.
