harsh tariffs need to be implemented and maintained to either force companies to stay offshore and lose access to the domestic american markets, or begin the process of relocating domestically

and this shit isn't even digging into the cultural rot/decay that will guarantee balkanization within the next... twenty years.

We have dodged zero bullets and Trump has yet to substantively address any of these problems in a satisfactory manner, flirting even with starting new foreverwars and continuing to shuffle his feet with this Ukraine nonsense.

No, before anyone reading this starts I'm not a 'leftist', I'm not a 'never-trumper', I'm a guy who voted Trump three times and is left starkly wanting.

Oh, and again the Epstein files have yet to be released unredacted. Rat-turd sprinkles on a shit sundae but worth mentioning.

there are several countries in central/south america and asia that offer retirement visas where all you need is proof of income per month (usually $1000-$2000), and there are a few countries where you can spend $10K-ish to "start a business" where you pay some local to start and run a business for you and then you have a business visa

US or Canada, the only thing boomers care about is having a bunch of brown slaves to do their bidding. that's their only priority. the entire world could be burning down around them and they'd be happy as long as they had a brown slave to bring them a martini and close the shades so they didn't have to watch it

on this note i've also noticed a few older, but not old, people start to integrate AI into their lives. i've heard "have you asked ChatGPT?" more often than i would like, which would be 0%

so tech savvy boomers and gen xers can add robot slaves to the list of things they'd like to use to offload the work their body and mind should be doing

This is painfully true. I've been to Canada and there are some decent, hard-working people there - mostly the True & Honest immigrants from awful countries who are so happy to be in a developed country like you wouldn't believe. However, the midwits ruin everything. Simply being an American in Toronto gets you mocked by native Canadians, even though they're the ones drinking Starbucks, wearing Levi's, speaking our slang, watching our TV and movies, using iPhones and Androids, and so on. It's sad because Canada is a beautiful country and has incredible natural resources, but all of it is ruined by a nanny communist government on steroids that does not even realize how utterly desperate their situation is.

I'm not in favor of Canada being the 51st state, but it is a useful slogan for underscoring how utterly dependent they are on the US for everything. Canadians don't realize that what Trump is doing there is telling their leaders they can't boss us around, ever. Trudeau tried it and it got him nowhere. If Carney wants to design an entire administration around being anti-Trump and anti-American, then good fucking luck to him. How many anti-Trump politicians have catapulted to success?
