Games? What games?Xbox is finally torpedoing its consol with a price hike:
The way things are going, I would not be surprised if the budget reaches 2 billion.I am guessing with the delay, including marketing, that GTA 6 is going to have a budget of 1.6 billion. I have included a 400 million marketing budget and for retail, a 30% share of sales. I think they will try to retail at $100, which is a bad move. This would mean it needs to sell 40 million copies to make a budget. Whilst this is foreseeable, the issue is that it is only receiving a console release and console sales in general are very weak.
Whilst there is anticipation for GTA 6, the reaction is a lot more tepid than I expected. I want to see it fail personally, I think making s game with over 1 billion in costs is insane and just wasteful. These studios, especially Microsoft and Sony, need a harsh lesson in monetary control. What is more horrifying these stupid fucks still don't get it after this level of a beating.
probably not. dont forget that red dead 2 had a budget of a little over 500 million dollar and made that back in 3 days plus extra and made plenty more afterwards as its one of the best selling games in history. gta 6 will very much back its budget back (unless donny boy keeps fuckign up the economy further and makes it harder for anyone to buy vidya)I am guessing with the delay, including marketing, that GTA 6 is going to have a budget of 1.6 billion. It's over a billion. A leaker, who turned out to be accurate with his information, reported that the budget is 2 billion, including marketing.as for the estimated budget, probably not a billion, but probably near it, perhaps 750 to 900 million
I have no doubt that $100 at retail will not stop the normies, weekend dads and influences/streamers (that have made it their job to play viday). They all will buy it and make Rockstar easily reach their needed copies sold.I think they will try to retail at $100, which is a bad move. GTA Online made $985 million in one year solely through microtransactions. So Rockstar only need to do GTA6 online with their shark cards, and then a PC port isnt needed anytime soon. Then the following year (2027) they can release a PC port and then in 2028 a next gen port at $110.
I agree but Goat Simulator will not sell as well as GTA6.GTA 6 will never be as good as Goat Simulator.
This is the bit that's going to be interesting. Rockstar will be killing a billion dollar a year cashcow while trying to get everyone to move over, while telling those same players they will start from scratch in GTA6 and will have to spend hundreds, if not thousands AGAIN in a game that will probably be shit and dead after a month.GTA Online made $985 million in one year solely through microtransactions. A whole lot of people consider it a fait accompli that GTA6 will pick up right where GTA5 Online left off and make them another billion dollars. They don't seem to understand how tenuous the hold these ultra long-term "live service" models have and how much dumb luck is needed to achieve their self-sustaining critical mass. This is the bit that's going to be interesting. Exactly. Those locked into GTA or Fortnite or COD or Battlefield will stay locked in while that's the ecosystem to be in. Once the players are ragged out of that ecosystem, they seldom go back.A whole lot of people consider it a fait accompli that GTA6 will pick up right where GTA5 Online left off and make them another billion dollars. It certainly could happen, but RDR2 was the same company running the same online playbook in the same Rockstar sandbox-style game and it fizzled out quickly. Even if GTA6 is critically acclaimed and sells well, that's still no guarantee of GTA5-like success.
This shit will never not be funny to me. They were all jacking up prices well before the tariff exchange started, but consoomers just want to blame Orange Man Bad instead of the greedy fucks actually raising the prices (worldwide, mind you, not just in the US). Funny how prices went up in other countries even though there's no US tariffs involved in those transactions. Really makes 'ya think...(unless donny boy keeps fuckign up the economy further and makes it harder for anyone to buy vidya)

Well, they're unrelated for one thing. It's pointless political sperging for another.por que no los dos
I bet E-Day will soon follow when that release date hits. How long until Halo follows suit?
We are now at the point of charging 40 bucks for a remaster of a remaster, which is just a resolution and framerate bump
Oh, it IS a remaster since they did not build everything from scratch. My bad. At least digital owners of Gears: UE would get Reloaded for free.We are now at the point of charging 40 bucks for a remaster of a remaster, which is just a resolution and framerate bump
