Has our boy lost it all? He's gotta be on suicide watch. It would absolutely shatter me to lose so much money repeatedly.
He's got $12 in the wallet he withdrew $95K to. He cashed some out to ratmom and ratdad's wallet, bought LTC for 20k and started skin shopping. That's when I went to bed. Not sure what happened and if he sold the LTC holdings or what and I'm too tired to go through all transactions but there's good chance he lost most of it. Unless he bought some skins and still holds his LTC, he's lost a lot. There are tons of transactions to shuffle.

Fascinating behavior.

I present a small selection of boss-moments from this morning:
The most notable one perhaps being a 22k to 42k to 0 on dice

He also mentions how these evil sites steal from the innocent, which is very wrong
View attachment 7325840

But it's all good, because he does get a 35k limbo winstreak, who's laughing now you bunch of pussies?

Am I the only one who can't seem to have these play?

I was gone for like a month… wtf all did I miss?
He got out of rehab and has had multiple runups and losses in a week. The first one happened within hours of being released. Bossmom and Ratdad may have actually gotten $10k out of a $100k runup.

Crack status is possible, but so far inconclusive.

I dont know man, during last nights stream he had two "im gonna go get a drink" without returning with a beverage, also had several "I gotta go do something" without him getting up and actually doing it

Not trying to be an arm-chair crack diagnostic expert but I would say its nearly certain he's back on the rock or at the very least something that he should not be on.

I assumed he was on crack from a hidden stash when he said he'd been up for 30 hours. We're at the taking a break stage, but I want some call or meet a friend breaks. Then we'll know he's on it so hard he can't even score offstream. I guess I should have called it probable instead of possible.

He clicks the 1/2 bet button then immediately clicks the 2x bet to reset it back to original like 2-3 times. Is he doing it from compulsion, or does he think it betters his odds? Either way, that money is fucking GONE

There are 2 reasons. One is that Austin very likely read, and misunderstood part of Stake's statement about how their RNG works. I found it pretty interesting, and if you want you can read about it here: https://stake.us/provably-fair/overview

One of the things they mention in there is using a "Cursor" as part of the formula. A cursor in this context is one of the numbers used in the calculations. Code isn't my thing so I really can't explain it much better than that. Maybe a more programming-literate Kiwi could elaborate on that part. The important part is that Austin very likely read that part and assumed that his mouse pointer was affecting the outcome.

The second is something called "operant conditioning". It is simply positive/negative reinforcement, and one of the most basic ways that animals learn things. When it does something that has a desirable/enjoyable outcome, it tries to repeat that action, and conversely if an action has a negative consequences the animal learns not to repeat it. I know this shit is really basic, but it's important because it starts to have an interesting effect in situations with things like gambling.

When the animal's actions don't or can't influence the outcome, this can cause the animal to start falsely associating its actions with the outcome. They did an experiment with pidgeons once where they had a bar they could hit to dispense food. After the pidgeon learned this, they would change it so the bar didn't do anything and the food was dispensed randomly. Eventually the pidgeons started to develop ritualistic behavior because they were associating the actions they took before the food came out with the outcome. This is why superstitions exist. Gamblers face a similar situation in that they are trying to influence something that they have no control over, and eventually start to associate unrelated prior actions with the random outcomes. I've always wondered if gamblers are doing them out of pure conditioning or if they are aware that these things don't really effect the results and just do them because it makes them feel better.

Has he ever broke down his "strategy" for hi-lo? Whenever he plays that I get so confused as to what he thinks the rules of the game are because he'll get a three and then just stim click low at the speed of light then start raging when the next card is higher. It's like he doesn't even care what game he is on as long as he can smash that dopamine button at the speed of light.

Superstition is very common in gamblers. There's a few key reasons. The main one imo is that long-term gambling is just a bad choice logically, because the odds aren't in your favor. This weeds out a lot of people that don't value superstition.

On most gambling sites including Shuffle, Hi Lo is not a simple "double your money if you get it right" sort of thing. He clicks the "lower than 3" button because it shows an absurd payout because of how unlikely it is, and he likes high risk gambles. It's basically the same as how he'll click like 7 times in mines and then act shocked when he finally hits one.

He understands that it's either higher or lower which means it's 50/50. Don't tell the Boss how to gamba, RAT
