Suggestion and Update Thread

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I think having an option to ignore someone for a set period of time might help with a lot of the more egregious slapfights that go on. Sure, you can ignore someone and undo that latter, but I imagine that people feel adding someone to ignore feels far too permanent (even if it can be reversed). Giving people the ability to say "I don't wanna deal with this person for a while" might help people step back more often.
There's literally nothing wrong with ignoring a retard who is basically shitting himself and pissing on the floor and will never contribute anything of value.

Thoughts on a forum trophy/trophies for getting X number of highlights on your posts, now that the highlight & postmark systems have been overhauled?

I propose a way to see the reports you have made (Or at the very least, most recent or last reports). I always get the "Did I turn off the stove" syndrome whenever I make a report since I wanna make 100% sure I didn't sound retarded.

There are hallway rumors that profile visibility might get reworked in the near future.
If stalker children crawling trough profiles is seen as a privacy violation I want to propose adding a profile visitor view. If users don't get privacy then the visitors should get the same treatment.
This is not an uncommon feature as various other forums have similar plugins.

There are off the shelf solutions to do this in Xenforo as well, mostly in the form of add-ons. One I found by lazily googling: https://xenforo.com/community/resources/xenconcept-profile-views.5943/

Users who donate the planned monthly subscription should be able to edit a post past the edit window timer. However, a major stipulation has to be that it's for correcting a detail, or adding additional context to prevent retardation like completely changing the original post. (Like the crap you see on YouTube where some retard changes the original comment to be funny).

It's such a minor thing that could be useful in niche situations, where a full update post is not truly needed, but allows for those who support the website to make corrections. Abuse of this could result in revoking this right, or have a carbon copy of the original automatically wrap into a spoiler box for the sake preservation. Or highlight the edit? I'm just spitballing here.

I understand you probably worked really hard to make profiles hideable and whatnot, but I still think this is a retarded thing to enable on a forum that's all about gathering information and "free speech". Lately every time I see a retarded post by a retarded newfag user and want to go look at their profile to find other posts made by them (or even just to look at their display pic) it's "oh they've limited their profile"

The continued bending over backwards to appease retards who can't control their emotions and/or just fucking close the screen and stop replying (first it was disabling sticker notifications, then it was fucking with sticker tallies, now this) is a really weird direction to take, in my opinion.

I imagine next year we'll have a "no Halal threads unless previously approved by a moderator" rule to avoid hurting the feelings of users who sperg out and overshare.

If you have any questions or need more detailed feedback let me know. Thank you for your attention and continued service, semper fi.

it's quite literally the opposite: to stop manchildren retards from hurling abuse at random users and getting into slapfights constantly.

that has been the rule since the very inception of the idea. you are a nigger.

I disagree with putting the needs of a few as the forefront of reason for what is an awful feature. There's a reason you got bombarded with questions about this and that and fixing things that literally did not need fixing before...

If a person cannot handle a retard coming onto their profile doing things they don't like, to the point where they have to hide their profiles, then they are a bitch ass faggot and deserve any and all scorn.

I've noticed a definite trend of "retards spewing retarded opinions" who have their profiles privated. I think normally people would simply comment on their profile instead of further derailing the thread, but obviously some people are obsessed. It would be optimal if jannies could determine who the obsessed users are.

When a user changes their name, I think it would be nice if people could view user's name change history or it old posts didn't update the name on old threads.
I was reading through an older thread and it took me longer than I'd like to admit to realize they were talking to each other and had changed their names instead of gossiping about another thread.

I've already said I will change it but it is not a priority.
sneedforo rewrite... take your time. the soyjak people will appreciate a community contributed wiki to cover their happenings without taint of retarded admins, and more will appreciate reading about it.

Would you consider adding a feature to the text highlighting function to "like" or "dislike" sections of a particular post? The reason I ask is because I've been coming across instances of "man covered in shit" discussions where someone is going along and making reasonable points about something, only to cap it off with something like "in any case, that's why all the faggots should die" or something similar.

If you want to keep it irreverent, maybe have the message say "[user] thinks this part is okay--the rest is shit." or "[user] specifically dislikes this part for some reason; the rest not so much." Maybe keep it to the Thunderdome and off-topic sections, as well.

There is no way this is possible becuase it is something nool would never do. It seems like a lot of difficulty just to point out some silly thing that makes you mad for no reason in a post you otherwise agree with.

What value would this add to the site? How much effort would it take compared to the benefit?

Also niggers.

Can the Kiwi logo when using the Destiny Blue theme be blue? Why is it not already?

Null mentioned on the last MATI that clip contributors in the BossmanJack thread have started to take measures to deter slop commentary bottomfeeders like TurkeyTom from freely harvesting their clips from KF. Would it be possible to enable something like this as a feature when posting any clip? Like a NiggerBlock™ option of sorts in the reply toolbar.
