I sure wish I had a hobby I could argue for public expenditure on. You're right it just so happens it's serendipity that their hobby happens to be vaguely arguable as some sort of public infrastructure. Though it is a cope that they're doing this for the average blue collar Joe.So when the whiny tranny faggot from the bike club shows up at the city council meeting, he's speaking for the Rotarians with the bikes that cost more than you car and the politicians know it.
You wanna see how quickly cycling enthusiasts change when they actually get what they wanted and the bike lane is clogged up with the elderly, people hauling stuff, children, etc. And they can't race around like they originally thought.
Similar to guys like Matt Farah saying how much better roads will be if they were clear of peons blocking the way of his supercars. Suprise other people use the road too to do shit. It's not just your private race track.
