as far as the WoW Classic incident goes
The incident wasn't very spectacular or significant in any other regard than that it just happened to be the gallon that broke the dam on Jason. The mainstream appeal of his roach-out added volume to the real grievances, like the fact that Heartbound is a complete scam, and that he's running some kind of explicitly for-profit private rescue hoarding ferrets that appear to die approximately three times more frequently than captive ferrets do on average.

Yeah the game looks like shit. It doesn't even look like a game.

if you pull too much as a tank, you can get fucked. I'm not dying together with you.

It's nothing to do with the gameplay lol. Part of Mald's manipulation is to have people solely focus on the gameplay aspects, when no wow veteran blamed his gameplay lol

Mald had an issue with the group, but kept quiet instead of communicating his discontent like a normal person.
Mald repeatedly lies and invents reasons for not helping the rest of the group(and ironically, if he just said what you wrote, he would've never gotten so much shit lmfao because atleast he would've been honest).
Mald refuses to do introspection to improve his gameplay.
People find out Mald has repeatedly failed to do such introspection and his history of retardation comes up.
Mald is outed as a scammer, fraud and con-artist in all aspects of his life.
Mald lies while addressing all the allegations, doubling down on his manipulation, further outing him to the public.

It's the perfect shitstorm of a dishonest nepobaby being outed as a dishonest nepobaby, and it's glorious. And as cigint said, it is really the gallon that broke the dam, things like his puzzle game playthroughs were all out in the open but there just wasn't that spark to really ignite it, and provide proof to the public that he is a ginormous fraud.

Intravenous II (and I as a remake inside of II) is fucking badass and unlike Malds game actually finished (twice!). Also made by a single man, Roman Glebenkov, which is what Mald wants you to think is happening to heartbound.

Comparing it to Hotline Miami is obvious but it's much more comparable to Slav Metal Gear solid or Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six/Splinter Cell.

tl:dr
Intravenous I (and II) > Heartbound
Intravenous II mentioned. Fellow Steve enjoyer.

I really do hope that one day Mr. Roachtree decides to release his game, not because I expect it to be good, but because I want to have another good laugh at his expense. I don’t think he has an ounce of the passion Roman has.

if you roll mage with that attitude nobody will ever want to do end game group content with you

youre expected to unfuck situations when 2/3rds of your kit is cc. maldy himself said so

which ultimately doesn't even matter that much. the source of the gallons of milk is him not going "oops" in a non-antisocial way

On hardcore servers, I'd prefer that to dying alongside the tank. Because at that point my mage journey is over, I ain't leveling the same class up to 60 again.

I only really played one character on hardcore, a paladin that died at 44 because of a disconnect, and I wouldn't have done it without the possibility of copying it over to a normal server. But what do I need an army of mages for?

Retarded driveby poster, but I'll bite.
1) The problem isn't that he ran, it's how he ran and his whole behavior afterwards.
2) He is an entertainer playing this game with other entertainers in a guild to make money off streaming. There's millions of other games. Nobody cares about a virtual character in a virtual game, it has no tangible value besides the streaming revenue generated from his guild participation. Letting the character die together with the rest of his guildmates' characters would've been the right thing to do even from a financial/entertainer POV. The fact he roached out on everybody for no tangible benefit at all makes this whole thing so absurd.

go ahead and obsess over it online

I don't think you really understand how hardcore WoW works
The whole point is to not die, because then dozens of hours of your time are wasted.
You even said there is no problem with the fact that he ran, just "how he did it".
Why are you obsessing over this shit, then? Even going as far as taking on the guys name for your account.

Yes, I will continue gossiping about ecelebs on the bulletin board made for gossiping about ecelebs. That's why I signed up here.
Why did you?
Initially just Cobes. But I don't go around talking about how it was ok for someone to run away in a videogame, but not the way he did it, and then obsess over how bad of a person that makes him.

I had actually forgotten until you reminded me; the way he did it is the most hilarious part of the story. Deliberately consuming his mana on nonsense ability activations, and hovering over the mana gem and not using it, while he was on voice chat lying to his team that he had no mana and no way to help them out. Insane behavior.

as far as the WoW Classic incident goes, if you pull too much as a tank, you can get fucked. I'm not dying together with you. I myself have gleefully watched people die, who pulled too much. One hunter in Westfall who thought chain-pulling murlocs was a good idea learned the hard way, that it wasn't. No regerts.
Did you just come in here just to start arguments? Insane behaviour dude. Mods, kick this guy.

I see there's a lot of competition for this year's "dumbest blackest retarded nigger gorilla" award.
I'm sure you'll beat them all, though.

So? If you're an experienced player, you'll know when you have to run away. By the way, the group told everyone to run away, so I don't get why they would be mad. I guess he just ran faster than them.

Hardcore players are a very special kind of breed anyway. You have to be somewhat mentally ill to play a game with permadeath, and start over, repeatedly, meaning you have to go through dull, boring shit, you've done tons of times, again and again. MMOs are already repetitive grindfests at times, especially an old one like Classic WoW. Making it even worse by deleting your character every time, which is what players have done willingly before they introduced this special server type, must leave you with some kind of brain damage. These people have no life. Worse than the average WoW player back in the day. They will gladly "go again". So making sure these people die when it hurts them the most, is pretty much a good thing. Believe me, they don't really mind starting over. If they did, they wouldn't be playing this in the first place.
