Didn't everyone hate the underwater combat for Lagiacrus?
Yeah, most people definitely did, that electric swim charge is total bullshit lol otherwise it's not too bad. But I think they also recognize that underwater as a concept was salvageable and not a total gimmick, and would have liked to see it return with fixed controls (and not so much lag on every single action).

I did play through MHTri a couple years back with the "alternate control scheme" that they have for underwater, where ZL & ZR swim/evade up/down, and it's a massive improvement over the default controls. Still amazes me that they removed that from 3U, it's honestly a big reason why I don't believe that 3U is just definitively better than Tri.

Picked up the Hunting Horn alongside the Glaive and Gunlance, and it's pretty fun to use. Having a horn that has 3 healing melodies and a healing circle basically turns you into a priest, which is very amusing. Not doing the Artian Weapon grind and just doing other things while waiting for the next Title Update.

Also, I'm tolerating Nata a lot more now that I've started calling him Lil' Poojeet.

No I enjoyed it, the hunter is out of their element and into the monsters. The aquatic ecosystem are some of the most beautiful and mysterious places on any planet. Continuing to support underwater combat could of allowed for the creators to really branch out and create truly alien environments that could evoke both wonder and as you do not know what could be lurking in the deep.

That is Legiacrus's second most telegraphed attack, just swim down underwater combat gives you 4d movement and most attacks can be dodged by swimming up or down. All the complaints most people had about underwater combat was due to them not understanding that they had a whole extra dimension of movement.

They should of brought back Agnaktor instead of Lagiacrus
They could have brought back a lot of monsters, but they went with Lagi because they wanted him in World and people haven't stopped screeching about him since. Plus the dude who made Lagi is autistic about him and tries to get him into every game since his debut.

Like most new ideas in MonHun, it came down to the execution. It was slow and laggy(lol), the controls were kinda jank, and certain weapons were just objectively better than others which always pisses people off. Why they basically abandoned the idea entirely instead of refining it I'll never understand.

He's infinity times more tolerable after the story, go figure lol. I'd almost like to be able to bring him as a support hunter. Not like Child Hunters are new in this series, and I'd bet it'd help make him less insufferable if he could actually help in some way.

I think a classic anime timeskip would've worked wonders here. Find him stranded, be forced to retreat, train him up during the interim and bring him back to be of use when the main story starts. The story revolves around him in spite of him not doing anything.

Meanwhile, you're stuck with Alma no matter where you go, parking in front of you when you're lining up a shot at a monster and sticking her big schnoz in every feast cutscene, and spewing the same endless reminders at every encounter.

Wouldn't that just make it omni-directional? I have not heard of the 4th dimension refer to height in movement before.

I do wish Monster Hunter had a gauntlet weapon like Beowulf from DMC3. I want to punch monsters in the face, like that stupid Octopus.

Anja aka worse Jho, diet Jho, I should just be hunting Jho has never been the most adrenaline fueled fight
The fight isn't the point; Wilds feels boring and doesn't give me the same feelings of accomplishment as even Tri. The honeymoon phase is over along with the slight bump in enjoyment Mizu and HR Zoh brought, and now all that's left is a feeling of meh. I don't need or want things to be ball-bustingly difficult or punishing, like G4+ Frontier, but I feel nothing.

plus putting Lagiacrus in a game with no underwater combat would be pointless.
More like torment, land Lagi is fucking horrific.
The game is not doing so hot? Lets bring out our favorite tranny. SPHEREHUNTER!!!
I know every angle of Troonhunter (if used in a different context that's a sick name) is bad but damn that particular shot looks pretty bad.
See I told everyone that Tri is the goat, Tri never had any trannies unlike the new simplified games with all of the "aesthetic" Mods.
Tri was a vibe that no other MH game has come close to matching, the online was the best its ever been and I will die on that hill. Mostly because it was a more social time, now people are too scared to speak in public chats or else they might get auto-banned or have some faggot screeching at them. Hell it even got me into modding when two lads introduced me to geckocodes.

They should tell him that Lagi even in water was not that good of a fight. Lagi is the okayist monster. It did not deserve to be a flagship monster. It was fun maybe the first few fights but after you learn the fight Lagi is toothless.

You remove the water and Lagi is worse than Royal Ludroth.

Now that there are Tri servers up and since I have my own pseudo-sever I was thinking about trying to actually host a Kiwifarms Tri sever. Though I am computer inept and will have to learn how to do it first.

Though Yes so many fond memories of just hanging around and chatting. Jhen days were the best.
