If you get fired in Japan, you typically have a couple months of grace to find a new job, if you don't your visa is void. Although more importantly it is quite difficult from a legal stance to fire somebody in Japan. Moreover a lot of these English teaching jobs will accept pretty much anyone, as long as you speak English and don't diddle any kids, that's usually enough, and it takes some consistent fuckery to get fired probably.

Most probably he won't be able to keep up with the 14 hour days and rage quit, or cluelessly keep ask for time off/calling in sick because >muh mentals like he did in the States and get the axe. I think second most likely scenario is sexually harassing students/other teachers, but he'll probably get lots of second, third, and forth chances with that.
