Shit got weird in 3rd with Olivier saying something about "Juvenile scent" which made me go "Bruh" also i find it weird how the group is pushing the whole Agate and Tita thing. My nigga Kevin is one cold and manipulative SoB, i like him more. Curious of how he got the Stigma. Ngl the game feels easier compared to previous entry since for me it feels more hand holdy. I like the fast travel, the variety in characters and the doors with their stories and the QoL things they added but aside that, the game is literally a long hallway going down. It has really highlighted of much of my playtime was dedicated to side quests, making 3rd probably the shortest in play time.

If it was a sibling thing, that's one thing. But every character around that pair loves implying that it's something more and it gets really fucking creepy - Trails don't know when to stop with their ongoing "gags". Tita is 13 in Trails in the Sky, and Agate is in his mid 20s, can the gang just chill the fuck out for one second.

Idk if im an unlucky son of a bitch, but i noticed in 3rd that enemies tend to trigger deathblow, faint, petrify etc more frequently and for some fights it has caught me withmy pants down(insert fight with the spiders)

There's barely any interacting with the environment, no going off the beaten path, rewarding exploration, maybe even have Metroidvania elements where you come back later with a new ability or item, to find new stuff.
There's a very brief moment in Trails Beyond the Horizon where you *have* to equip Water arts to put out fires, but that's it, it's only the slightest hint of a taste of what could be.

I don't mind it. Only because its everything else that more than makes up for it. The battles are great. The story is great. The characters are even more fleshed out than a fucking Final Fantasy game, and the best part by far are the NPC characters because every single one has their own arc and development.

That being said I am curious to see how they do with exploration this time round for Sky Remake.

Currently near the end of 3rd. Wanna complete all doors before going against Lord of Phantasm. The game has been an emotional roller coaster. Been enjoying doing the doors for the lore bits. Cant wait to see whats behind the last one that requires to have all previous doors done.
