You can't look me dead in the eyes and not agree that few other franchises are as celebratory of reusing assets as MH. Like, literally before the first update dropped I saw plenty of people actively saying "duhh where my homeboy from 3 games ago!?". And pokemon? The one generational game that doesn't flop after its first sequel? Most of what I remember of new Pokemon games was it being almost entirely new pokemons except maybe a handful that are seen only by trainers or npcs, none of that "oh fuck that's pikachu". Newer games, yes. But those are soulless copy-paste cashcows, almost like Monster Hu...
I stand by my point: All the fun, engaging, creative and exciting monsters are in the low rank end of the game and once you're at the end game, it's the same hyper-laser fanged wyvern shit as any other MH title. I was honestly surprised we had a 'slow' gorilla as the flagship in Sunbreak.
