I think that time period would have been the most interesting to witness. Some lovey-dovey couple enjoying their day out and look over at this fat, hunched over slow-in-the-mind in pedo glasses, with a comic character medallion around his neck staring daggers at both them as he grits his teeth and heaves his chest in anger.

Then to balance that, the same person waddling over to some "hot girl" who just happened to look in his direction, to which would then give some corny pickup line or buffoonishly asking if they had a boyfriend, only to be rejected and waddle off, pissed to no end.

I think the whole "virgin with rage" thing is glossed over, but I think Chris was actually extremely angry, to the point of rage, and being completely honest. The whole "Love Quest" was so bizarre when you think about it. He didn't encounter a young lady whose company he enjoyed and decided to pursue it further like a normal person. Instead, he watched all the "gotta get laid" teen movies and TV shows of the time and decided that getting a girlfriend was a rite of passage that he needed to accomplish. And then he set out to obtain one in the most asinine way possible.

That's something that's fascinated me about CWC, he is simultaneously incredibly influenced by media and also wildly independent and doing his own thing.
Yeah, every teen character in every movie and TV show at the time paired up... but none of them did so by talking about their virginity (which was usually seen as something shameful in the movies of the time) and certainly not their rage. Yet CWC was eager to describe himself as a "virgin with rage" to anyone who would listen to him.
It's maddening trying to figure out which 'normal' things he'd attempt and which of his absurd ideas he'd shoehorn in.
