General Why do you like Vtubers & VTubing? - In general.

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
Indeed, I never watched streams, only few clips.
Probably the situation is better than I imagine.
Let me put it to you like this there are a lot of very obvious trannies who think that vtubing is going to be the golden ticket. They think they are going to commission a model let out their inner anime girl and people will see them the way they see themselves and not just that but adore them for it, but that never happens. What happens is they debut. immediately get pegged as a man, afterwards about 10 tranny chasers watch their streams for the about three months that they will be streaming, then they ultimately retire to twitter and bitch about what the successful, and coincidentally female Vtubers get up to.

It turns out no amount of Live2D or AI voice changers is a substitute for a fundamentally female personality, and to quote the copypasta "Thousands of years of evolution have allowed men to sniff out frauds with incredible efficiency". Not that either of those things help as much as you think trannies tend to have particular tastes for their live2D, and AI voice changers aren't magic, the further you try to get them to change your voice the more unnatural you wind up sounding. On top of all that trannies are attention whores and in their world view being a troon is better than being a dirty femoid so they are going to tell you, They can't help themselves.

In short trannies are unfortunately very interested in vtubing, fortunately vtubing isn't interested in them, not even trannies want to watch trannies.

I think in general it's an interesting way to portray a persona or character and add it to your content in a way that isn't MSPaint crossed-arm PNG's to use in a shitty commentary video, i think the medium can also allow for extremely creative concepts in terms of designs and "gimmicks", not that only plays into those because very few chuuba's have good designs at least in my opinion lmfao

but, it is unfortunately tainted by lolicon/shotacons, schizophrenic retards, trannies who just NEED to shove their heckin validity down your throat and advocate for cutting off childrens genitals, weird parasocial faggots and people who cater to it (see Riro Ron and her fanbase.) e-girls too ugly to make it as normal e-whores, men who think trying to speak in a lower octave and copy corpse husband makes them attractive, and niggers who are just copying design trends or other popular vtubers (who all end up fitting the previously mentioned things) to try to be popular too.

i suppose you can't expect people interested in doing vtubing or consuming vtubing to be exactly normal, but i suppose there's at least a boundary in how much retardation you can accept. i guess i'll take the virtual whores too ugly to make it as normal whores over pedophiles any day though.

i wouldn't even really care about half of this stuff like the troons if they didn't fucking need to constantly talk about tranny shit and be weird coomers, cuz that usually goes hand in hand, see that one tranny with the bad voice changer, Marina or whatever his name is.

I like some vtuber because:
-I find their avatar design attractive.
-I find their personality pleasant.
-Some of their streams must be entertaining to watch/listen.

I prefer this streaming format for female streamers because in my opinion it limits to a certain extent lazy booby streaming (which is a form of pseudoprostitution imo).
It promotes the streamer's skills and creativity, they have to invest more energy to bond with the audience.
Finally, I think it also creates a filter that limits parasocial attachment, ofc there's still thirsty simps, but I believe people are less likely to develop a toxic form of parasocial attachment (I'm not saying it doesn't exist but it's less likely to occur).

Never really watched one. Sometimes one is a guest on SideScrollers, and it looks fucking retarded just being there right next to normal YouTubers.

I like stream VODs and podcasts as background noise while I'm doing other things and there are a LOT of English speaking vtubers with pleasant voices and good senses of humor to pick from. I'm subscribed to several and probably don't listen to more than 5% of any one vtuber's output.

I tend to go for chill streams, preferably with multiple vrubers in them and ignore ones where they're playing a game of the week like Content Warning because 4-5 autistic women screaming for 3 hours is the opposite of what I want to listen to.

I really don't care about the idol/waifu/merch/muh oshi shit and don't really have a favorite.

1. they are attractive
2.they are often funny, something I find to be relatively rare with women
3. they are generally apolitical and sometimes right-wing as far as content goes, offering a good escapism compared to fleshtubers
4. they sing and play vidya both of which please me immensely
5. Bau Bau Nigga

I honestly don't know.
I'm enough of an OG I would watch kizuna's videos as they came out. I used to think she was a real AI too. On the same vein I liked watching Kaguya Luna, Siro, Mirai Akari, Eilene's videos (not Natsumi Moe though, I found and still find her dumb nerdy girl act and voice very annoying), Baccharu, even Koiro (5).
I guess it felt less like watching a real person and more like someone in a separate world. Like a little escapist fantasy that lasted the 10 minutes the video did.
I never paid attention to most of the scene after Kizuna became so music oriented it wasn't as fun anymore. I would see random hololive clips pop up in places and never watched them, except Miko's nigga, I thought that was funny enough to share around but never looked up anything about her.
I eventually saw a clip of Pippa quoting Terry and looked up her channel, I thought she was engaging enough when she was talking about Neopets or MLP or Build A Bear because the stories were fun. She eventually became less interesting because she wasn't talking about old internet anymore, and she started leaning so much into the "teehee girlfailure I don't brush my teeth I have rotting food in my room" that I found it gross. She's still gross to me today.
I don't really watch any chuubas regularly nowadays but I find the shitshows and controversies interesting.

I like it cause i adore anime and manga, but also because Japan interests me.
But i also like it because of corporations, specifically Hololive. Having been around since let's plays started i've seen streaming gradually go from a hobby, to a job and then finally to political activism.
Most online personalities now, such as streamers, are expected to "take a stand" or "use their platform" and many of them really dive in deep.
Eventually they either do or say something incredibly divisive or politically charged and the vibe is just ruined, its not longer escapism or a place to chill and you are back in reality.

Ironically with corporations such as Hololive you get some of that old energy back, because they are bound by contract not to chimp out, not to start rolling around in dirt.
And i find that very soothing, a calm space.
Then whats left is just entertainment, hanging out with their friends or chat and playing a game.
A genuine calm space where i can just let my brain rest while my favorite rat rages at pixel lawyers.
