So sex trafficking, pedophilia, etc. was all good right up until monetary policy got involved. If Elon is lying (likely), he's retarded. If he's not lying, he's also retarded.
Didn't he get his ass sued earlier when some guy saved a bunch of guys trapped in a cave without his permission? Called him a pedophile and whoops that's defamation per se.

I'm just saying he's a retard but this is also on brand for his retardation.

Yeah, there's no way they will forgive him for disrupting their patronage network. Supporting Trump is one thing, but DOGE struck at the heart of their worldwide political machine, and it is one of the existential issues they have.
My point exactly. Shutting down USAID not only hurt the liberal world order, but it also hurt many farmers and people on welfare. On a practical level, going after Elon for DOGE would get a lot of votes secured for the Democrats in Red States.

The problem is, most of Republican Congress is stuck between a rock and a hard place.

If they vote for Trump's bill, Elon will support their enemies. But if they vote against it, Trump will come after them.

Trump has the legal power, Elon has the war chest to support rival candidates.

So they're fucked if they do, fucked if they don't.

Meanwhile, the liberals, RINOs, and anti-Trumpers are just sitting in a corner, laughing their asses off. They have no skin in the game, and would be more than happy to watch these two sides kill each other.
The literally could have put it vote the same day it got passed by the house and sent it to Trump. The issue is now the Senate is stripping out anything the voters want like No Tax on Tips and will then have to send to back to the house to vote again. If it's so good just vote it and get it signed. They are dragging it out and i can promise you it will not get passed before the July 4th date Trump demanded. We are in this mess because they are slow rolling everything.

There are currently 79 working days for the senate left in the year and 52 for the house.

They're slow-rolling everything because they're going to get fucked either way. Trump or Elon. Damned if they do, damned if they don't. And they're already feeling the pressure from the other side BEFORE Elon called it quits and started pressuring them NOT to pass the bill.

I recall there being a decent amount of sentiment in this thread around election time that Elon Musk was never really a part of MAGA, and that he latched on to serve his own self-interests especially regarding H1Bs. Kudos to those posters, their judgements were on the money given the events of today.
After the assassination attempt there was a wave of podcast bros that could see the tide was turning.
Elon was never MAGA - his shit defending H1B visas right after the election proved that.

Elon wasn't attacking them until they flat out refused to even work on DOGE cuts and shitcanned his NASA pick over BS.. Their slow rolling caused it. If they had passed a single one Elon could point to something. The slow rolling of everything caused this. 14 bills have been passed compared to 274 during last term. Tell me they are going to pass 260 bills and get them to Trump in 52 days. They need to pass 5 bills a day to even match last session.

but it also hurt many farmers and people on welfare
It's the US Agency for International Development. What people living on welfare? The way it "helped" US farmers, which is not what it's for, was the government using tax dollars to send domestic food to shitholes. Hard to make sense of this as a good program.

The thing is, the farmers relied on that money being used on them. So yes, they will be broke without USAID money, and with the alternative being to sell food to other countries being fucked up by the tariffs, they're fucked. These domestic farmers will have to close and sell to some Monsanto clones here in the States. Which of course, will lead to them voting Blue come next election.

Also, there's tons of people in the Red States that don't even have farms, that live on welfare, that USAID gives money to.

That's the thing. Elon got so used to the nepotism, that when Trump grew a spine and told him "no", he got uppity and left.

Trump said no to pushing congress to do DOGE cuts and a NASA pick that actually cared about getting people to the Moon and Mars. Trump did not say no when Elon demanded more H1-B slaves. Tells you everything you need to knows. Importing slaves is fine with Trump but shutting down government waste and advancing civilization is too far.

Elon still poking the bear with the most obvious and correct take. Inaction has beaten down the base and republicans going back to the same playbook won't make the evil white men get out to vote. Trump isn't on the ticket and his voters won't vote unless they have a reason greater than "they will take your guns". See the disaster in Wisconsin. The RNC did nothing and even Elon stepping in and bank rolling it did nothing. If you have Elon out there funding primary challengers and spoil candidates they are mega screwed.

Best case scenario is that Trump tries to wind down the conflict but at the same time try to distance himself with Elon going forward.
A billionaire like Peter Thiel that keeps himself in the background is preferable to a ticking time bomb that will call you a pedophile the moment you disagree on something.

Late, but
>Herrera
Is she related to Brandon Herrera? That would actually be a reason for her keeping her last name out of it. I know that Herrera is a common surname, though. The big and tall aspect doesn't bother me, it's the bog-standard proglib behaviour. The Democrats are sending a "plus-size queer Latinx woman from Texas" to engage with men across the country? Do you know how many men are going to hit her with their best R. Lee Ermey impression and go "WELL I GUESS IT'S TRUE: ONLY STEERS AND QUEERS COME FROM TEXAS, BECAUSE YOU'RE BOTH"? It's even worse when you realize she's 22, doesn't have a fucking clue what the Democrats are throwing her into, and she's going to get eviscerated.

Either way, this is a great write-up. Have you considered making a thread in PG for this woman?
Brandon Herrera was born in North Carolina to a military family. Olivia Julianna Herrera's family has been in Texas for about a hundred years. Herrera's a fairly common last name, her using the name 'Olivia Julianna' is obviously for marketing purposes.

I'm not sure if she warrants a thread yet, but if she keeps desperately trying to stay politically relevant by pretending she can talk to conservative men, she might. I'm curious about the group she was originally in, Gen Z for Change, because it's insanely obviously astroturfed:
Gen-Z for Change, formerly called TikTok for Biden, (Spanish: Gen-Z X el Cambio, formerly Gen-Z por el Cambio) is a left-wing American non-profit advocacy organization, founded in 2020 that uses social media to promote civil discourse and civil action among members of Generation Z. It consists of a core team of 15–20 people and a coalition of over 500 content creators and activists, and partners with influencers, activists and celebrities to produce multimedia content. Its advocacy addresses a wide range of topics such as abortion rights, COVID-19, student debt cancellation, climate change, income inequality, social inequality, immigration, racial justice, gun control, foreign policy, voting rights, and LGBTQ issues. Collectively, Gen-Z for Change's members have 540 million followers and receive 1.5 billion monthly views on social media.

Gen-Z for Change has received significant news coverage for its activities, including a one-hour briefing with the White House for 30 prominent TikTok content creators about the United States’ strategic goals regarding the Russian invasion of Ukraine (which was parodied by Saturday Night Live), protests against companies such as Starbucks and Kroger for anti-union firings, and abortion-rights advocacy following the U.S. Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade in June 2022. Olivia Julianna, one of Gen-Z for Change's political strategists, raised more than $2 million in donations to abortion funds across the country through the organization after U.S. Representative Matt Gaetz ridiculed her appearance in July 2022.

Someone else who might be needing a thread soon is Nicholas "When Must We Kill Them?" Decker. He's recently been advocating legalizing bestiality:
Off topic a bit but this faggot is arguing for zooaphile rights.

Anyway Azealia Banks is great, I will now go out of my way to listen to her shit.

No famous person I can think of has had the balls to point out that the Arab world has had its own history of colonizing and yes they traded Africans slaves and still have slavery to this day. It’s tiring that our culture permits this noble underdog Arab nonsense.
Azealia is funny, but she has a thread for a reason. She has no consistent beliefs and will say whatever she thinks will piss people off the most. One day she will be complaining about trannies, the next day she will accuse JK Rowling of just being jealous of trannies because they're hotter than her.

Just think of her as a shitposter first and foremost.

So let me get this straight, libertarians and Elon Musk are sperging about an extension to the 2017 tax cuts. Jesus Christ when did the libertarian movement become pro tax. The government should learn that money is already not theirs so extending said cuts does not "increase the deficit" because they haven't been getting that money since 2017.
