I really don't get what changing the rose does. The scene is still clearly going for a certain "thing". It makes no sense to change it and creates an issue where people that played on release and people that played a few days after are technically going to have a different experience. It's a blatant mandela effect. People years from now will remember seeing a rose, and others won't. And by removing the rose, it gives people an inch to argue it isn't literally rape. When the scene originally could not be more clear that's what happened. There is very little ambiguity in a flower blooming and wilting.

I guess I'm the tard-get audience for Toby's shit because I really enjoyed all of Deltatroon so far, to be honest. I feel like the rose thing was a metaphor for the death of Noelle's innocence and it complimented the player giving Noelle the Thorn Ring earlier in the game. However, if the retards and troons in the audience interpret it as rape and chimp out then that means less fags to deal with (ACK-percentage increase) so I'm all for it. Also I mean come on Noelle is built for BHC.

It sets an interesting precedent in that this combined with the OFF remake controversy marks probably the first big chink in the armor of the darling-est of indie darlings of the past decade. Kind of hard to stay as the funny relate-able ha ha man when your game features implied rape.

You know, to be the local A(y)-log of the thread, I think a better idea would be wait until the game hits the Chapter 7, meaning it will be finally finished. And then we can all envision Mr. Fox's brilliant work of art, and judge for what it is. And see if this "slip" of "Kris rapes Noelle" was just an oopsie or "it was there all along, look: Kris had a flashing red eye in the Chapter 1, and now in Chapter 6 he kills and plays basketball with Alphys' dead head."

I may sound incredibly facetious and perhaps upset, but I really am not joking. This is the consequences of having an episodic format of gaming nowadays. As interesting as it may seem to have the "What happens next? Stay tunned!" scenarios, we have weird people in gaming and cartoon industry. It is what it is.
EDIT: And also I have to stop being a bit of an autist myself. it's hard to go along with the banter, and I have to improve on that.

This whole controversy reveals the age old question in video games: why is murder ok to portray in games but not rape? You can slaughter monsters unforgivingly if you want, and yes while the game will show you consequences, it’s not like anybody will bat an eye at it being included in the game. What if there was an option in the ACT box to rape enemies? Now that would get people talking.

*Note: I do not endorse adding rape options to video games.

One point I forgot to bring up: is it time to bring a crossover between Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss and Deltatroon, since we are having some cringeworthy moments in the game, compared to a laughably bad cartoon?

I have a theory regarding Chapter 3 and why it was such filler.
In all the promo material, they were pushing the cowboy angle hard. Then the game comes out and it's like 3 minutes of combined segments.

I believe that UNDERTALE YELLOW coming out in december 2023 forced them to scrap the entire thing because it was too similar.

Something like Outward? But that too demands a certain type of autism in order to be enjoyable, because there's only so much running from point A to point B through an empty world one can endure.

I'd be embarrassed too if I were Toby, and a bunch of fans on a budget of "nothing" with a potential profit of "nothing" managed to make a game like Yellow that in some ways shits on the infinity budget/unlimited connections produced dream game that is Deltarune.
Of course, the story of Yellow leads a lot to be desired thanks to the "Good Ending" being just fucking commiting suicide, but the "Bad Ending" being fucking blasting that faggot Asgore away and freeing the human souls is based.

Anyway, here's my full thoughts now that I've fully digested the game:
The creepy video game parts in Chapter 3 were excellent. Absolutely sent a chill down my spine.

It's funny. Years ago I had a nightmare that was borderline identical. I was playing this weird puzzle platformer with a dark foggy void background (It resembled this game made by Sean Spalding). The background noise was just the sound of ocean waves at night.
I got trapped in a single screen room with no exit
Y O U R A C T I O N S H A V E D A M N E D V I N N I E
and the fog in the background slowly began to clear. I woke up in a panic, anticipating a jumpscare.

I thought that RAMB was a wonderfully disgusting character. (Although I thought that he was a woman at first)
The way he leers at you with a knowing look. The things he says... The things he won't even properly refer to...

The hidden boss of Chapter 3 was fucking brutal but beating him was extremely satisfying. Ate an entire day on him though.

I'm worried about the soul out of body segments.
I like being an actual physical force in the gameworld but other characters reacting to my presence is decidedly cringe.
They've kept it mostly respectful though.

The Suselle shipping was as duff as expected. Asgore working as a maid was funny though.

Once again, Kris and Susie have amazing chemistry through out most of the game but...
I'm not sure about Kris. I've noticed that after every dialogue he turns to the camera in an almost resentful manner.
Clearly he's not pleased with the current "Living Dead" scenario where we move his arms and legs and speak for him in a silent but commanding voice.

That "Love finds its way to the girl" prophecy is interesting though. The heart is almost identical to the SOUL on Kris's prophecy.
And, on that bombshell: My thoughts on the final prophecy.
Either Ralsei dies ...or the whole team dies.
It's unclear. The dialogue seemingly wavers between the two.

Obviously the music was as excellent as usual.

Just found out about the corrective rape.
I LOVE UNDERTALE
It doesn't even matter that the John Eggbert reference truned out between games.
Oh, goodness... I feel like I'm Martin Luther King...

Sorry to derail but I wanted to see if you guys could sell me on Deltarune.

I remember playing UT a couple years ago and then Chapter 1 of DR not long after (back when there only WAS chapter 1) and I thought they were alright, though I also recognized that UT is carried heavily by its soundtrack.

I have been interested in playing them again since the new releases but I saw the price tag for DR and I'm having second thoughts, I'm not as eager to spend that much money as I used to be. It looks fun enough and while its pretty tumblr-coded I'm still interested in the story, minus the faggot stuff. Surprisingly UT got me to care about the characters (expect Alphys, fuck the dykosaur and the lack of consequences for her actions)

Anyways, sell me on the game I suppose.

This is another question I have, one of the things I noticed going from UT to DR was a much darker tone which I enjoyed and felt it capitalized on the general feeling of dread I got from UT's neutral route. But I've seen a sect of the community try and say that chapters following 1 drop this for the most part. So does it drop it or is just overreaction?
