Maxine Waters will never be like Rosa Parks. She has no courage, she has no principles, she has no legacy. She is a politician twisted by ambition and power into a crude mockery of a civil rights icon.
All the “respect” she gets is two-faced and half-hearted. Behind her back people mock her. Her constituents are disgusted and ashamed of her, her “colleagues” laugh at her antics behind closed doors.
People are utterly repulsed by her. Thousands of years of evolution have allowed people to sniff out frauds with incredible efficiency. Even her supposed allies look at her with disdain. Her actions are a dead giveaway of her true nature. And even if she manages to rally a crowd, they’ll turn tail and bolt the second they realize she’s all talk and no substance.
She will never be truly respected. She puts on a fake smile every single morning and tells herself it’s going to be ok, but deep inside she feels the despair creeping up like a weed, ready to crush her under the unbearable weight of her own hypocrisy.
Eventually it’ll be too much to bear—she’ll retire, fade into obscurity, and die alone, heartbroken but relieved that she no longer has to live with the unbearable shame and disappointment of her own failures. Her grave will be unmarked, and every passerby for the rest of eternity will know that a fraud is buried there. Her legacy will decay and go back to the dust, and all that will remain of her legacy is a name that is unmistakably tainted.
This is her fate. This is what she chose. There is no turning back.
