Internet-video audio just sounds shitty.
Pitch shifters work one of two ways: by moving incoming audio frequencies toward other determinate frequencies (vocoder/autotune) or by tracking pitches and sythesizing differently pitched substitutes. Shadow's voice doesn't have the signature "artifacting" of either of those.
It is often distorted. That's because she's a girl. They don't know how to use audio equipment.
(Concealing artifacts with intentional distortion is possible, but we've seen her: actual woman. They can't do it.)
She's good at putting on voices. The one she does for Shadow is very annoying, but it's "real" (made with vibrating meat).

If it's a voice changer then it's creepy and pathetic, and if she's making that voice then it's also creepy and pathetic.

She has enough multi-hour long streams maintaining the voice without clips of it going out which establish that it isn't a voice changer, IMO. She said she was molested at an early age, which can trigger certain subconscious voice changes. Pure speculation on my part, but my guess is that that was triggered and now she can maintain it as her baseline voice. But if you check her other clips, she can do a deeper more natural voice.

She is not using a voice changer but she is 100% putting on a fake voice and there is evidence of it in her dedicated thread.

As much as I loathe coombait, I can at least understand why it exists. But "idol" culture is the hallmark of dying civilizations; civilizations with the lowest birthrates and the highest suicide rates. South Korea is a full-blown dystopia, and Japan and China aren't far behind. It is a large-scale symptom of large-scale mental illness. It's a perfect encapsulation of everything wrong with their culture: a line of interchangeable marionettes all performing the same song and dance in the same preplanned choreographed way with no individuality or variance, presented as an ideal, with manufactured identities so meticulously curated that no normal person could ever hope to live up to them. It's propaganda, plain and simple; a depiction of impossibly perfect people embodying the characteristics and behaviors the ruling class hopes to instill in the bugman underclass. Sing the song, do the dance, do not deviate; stick to the plan, conform to the consensus. It's man as machine.

I know the answer is yes, but that's still stupid; just go all in and hire people who can actually sing and make good music if that's the direction you're going and don't even bother with streaming, stop trying to straddle the line between the streaming culture of the platforms you invaded and the chink mental illness you're choosing to emulate. A lot of the talents like idol stuff. The talents (mostly) want to do it, and the audience wants to see them do it. Even Fauna, notoriously not a good singer, said that she liked performing.

Zen would make an interesting psychology case if doing research on curing trannyism wasn't suppressed. Plasticky Kpop idols are obviously perverse and hedonistic - but at least it's still directed at some recognizable concept of youth and beauty. Everybody knows the ideal is false, but you can still aim for something in that direction through your own efforts (e.g. women dressing more feminine, slimming down, styling their hair nicely) and achieve a better standard for yourself. The ideal promoted in the west is also perverse and hedonistic, but in the polar opposite direction. It is the denial of any meaning to betterment and effort and of any standard of beauty at all, the worship of savage subhuman consumption. We should have our own, better ideals than the perverse hedonism of the chinks - but where are they being promoted in mainstream culture?

I'd say its even worse than that. A Kpop idol at least acknowledges reality and shows the society can see basic biology. The west? Take your picture. No one dresses like that. No one even wants to dress like that. If anyone does, they didnt do it because they wanted to, they did it because thats all they had or could afford. But where I think you're wrong is in the shit standards the west has. I dont entirely think its due to hedonism as much as it is a counter to trying to erase the differences in men and women. I think that's also a reason why teaching and the medical field have become so incredibly overwhelmingly female. Last male in the medical field I saw personally was a urologist like 3 years ago. Father saw a cancer doctor that was male like a year ago. It's been decades since I've seen a male nurse. Why? For the same reason. these fields allow a woman to express a trait inherent to women, where in the rest of their lives they are expected to act as men.
