And for the schizo, you simply plug in the computer of your choice to the spy TV. You can pick up a 7th gen or newer Intel OptiPlex MFF for under $100 and have H.264/H.265/VP9 hardware decode, and AV1 done in software just fine. Also does anyone really need this stuff from a game console anymore? Every TV now comes with a billion streaming apps built-in. It was a different story back in 2013 with the PS4 and Xbone but these days I just can't see why a console would need such things.
To be fair to YouTube Google and Nintendo are trying to work on getting a Switch 2 version of the app up and running, although the same can't be said for Netflix and other streaming services. It is true that Nintendo not including YouTube, Netflix, etc. is retarded. But that's a decision they could fix with an update.
I don't know if you "need" it, but it certainly doesn't hurt to have. A lot of TVs come with limited connectivity now, just one or two HDMI ports, so if you can play your vidya and stream your animes on a single device, it's definitely a plus for some people. Switch 2 also has a nice big screen, much bigger than most phones, so it might be a nice device to watch Netflix in bed on or whatever. Also does anyone really need this stuff from a game console anymore? Yeah but why would you need to stream off your game console to a TV when every TV in 2025 has the streaming apps built-in?I don't know if you "need" it, but it certainly doesn't hurt to have. I don't know how many people are like me, but I personally did not connect my smart TV to the Internet because it's just another avenue to serve me ads. The software in them also becomes obsolete very rapidly and a lot of the apps stop working after a couple years and most people are gonna keep their TV longer than that.Yeah but why would you need to stream off your game console to a TV when every TV in 2025 has the streaming apps built-in?
The portable bit I can concede on though.
Back then there was DLNA on the PS3 and PS4 so you could stream all your MP3 and DivX from your PC to your PS that you had connected to your TV. Then you could say fuck off to all the paid streaming app shit, but the Sony bastards removed the DLNA feature from the PS5.Also does anyone really need this stuff from a game console anymore? Chris Wray Backtracking as always i see
I used to set that place on fire, it was fun times. The only joke here is Wccftech's editorial section.
The two things that I keep noticing from all these videos is not just how empty the open world looks, but how similar it looks to 8. Sure, if you pause the videos around and do side by side comparisons (What basically Digital Foundry did in their review), sure, you can see some improvements in textures and LODs, but in the moment to gameplay, they look almost identical, I would dare to say 8 looks a bit better. After putting a decent amount of hours into MK World, this video is 100% accurate, the game sucks due to baffling design decisions. There is gold under the hood but it is covered in shit at the moment.
See it with your own eyes on a nice 4k set with HDR, it looks and runs phenomenal. The tech is not the issue, it looks way better than MK8 to me. The lack of content, weird design of races and the empty open world are the main issues. There is no fucking point to the open world, it only makes the game worse without benefits. While all of this could be fixable, it becomes a joke with the long development time, unlimited Nintendo resources and price of the game. I would be very pissed if I had not gotten the MK World console bundle. The two things that I keep noticing from all these videos is not just how empty the open world looks, but how similar it looks to 8. Oh I'll try it, I'm just waiting for the emulator.See it with your own eyes on a nice 4k set with HDR, it looks and runs phenomenal. The tech is not the issue, it looks way better than MK8 to me. Well that's not good, because the Switch 1 also had an emphasis on enhanced versions of old games charging full price for them. What happens when Nintendo runs out of old games? It's a bit of an odd launch happening in the middle of the year. Right now it feels very similar to the Game Boy Advance - emphasis on back-compat, enhanced versions of older games, and a mixed-reception Mario Kart.

Definitely seeing more of these video crop upAfter putting a decent amount of hours into MK World, this video is 100% accurate, the game sucks due to baffling design decisions. There is gold under the hood but it is covered in shit at the moment.
Why is that bad? Mario Kart 8 looks great.how similar it looks to 8
We need that badly, the lineup is so dire.Supposedly there's going to be another direct soon-ish and we might actually see some interesting titles come out in the second half of the year.
Right, it's not strictly needed but it should have streaming apps, why not. Hopping over to YouTube in the same device to look up something about a game is very convenient. It should have a browser too, but those are being phased out it seems.I don't know if you "need" it, but it certainly doesn't hurt to have. It does, but a 2025 game shouldn't look like an 11 year old game from 2 console generations back. Why is that bad? Mario Kart 8 looks great.
