If you don't know what you're looking at it seems like normal kid behavior, but if you do, it's obvious.
That's the behavior of a child who feels the need to be his parent's caretaker. It's textbook. He feels responsible for her emotions, so when he sees her speaking angrily into her phone he has a trained reaction to go over and "calm her down" and you
can see in her fat face that it's working. He knows what to do, but that's not his damn responsibility!
