Iran is probably near its limit for simultaneous MRBM launches. Probably why it launches about a hundred at a time then does it again a couple hours later. Can't do much more faster than that. Which is pretty good tbh I think only the US, Russia, China, India, and maybe Pakistan could launch more 1,000km+ missiles at once and keep doing it

I don't think the ayatollahs believe that they have a shot at protracting this out, so it's entirely plausible that they put everything on black and use their entire arsenal to overwhelm the Iron Dome. The alternative is probably having those missiles be destroyed on the ground before they can even fire them off.

Ironic. The early warning radar couldn't give an early warning of a strike against itself.

And once they've fired their shot that's it. This is looking like the 6 days war all over again. The IAF has just completely trashed Iran's ability to control its air space, which means Israel can now dismantle the countries MIC at its leisure.

1800 ballistic missiles would be 60% of Iran's entire estimated arsenal. At least half of them don't have the range to reach Israel. And Iran doesn't have the silos and launch vehicles to shoot that many all at once anyway lol

Honestly, mobile TELs are a lot more common than silos and blend in extremely well with civilian trucks.

Only issue is reloading them takes time.

Eg. All Yemeni (Houthi) ballistic missiles are launched from truck or trailer mounted TELs and they've been unkillable (total destruction) for 10+ years.

As macabe as it is to say: It would be cool to see at least limited engagements between aircraft during this conflict. I'm unsure what kind of SAM capabilities Iran has so, just how great their defences are against F-15Es and F-16s I can't tell.
