I think the whole "Israel has no way to destroy the Iranian nuclear program without American intervention" is misdirection, just like the widely hyped split with Trump over the negotiations were. Leftist journalists in Israel (Nadav Eyal, Yoav Zeitoun) are giving two contradictory messages (in the same columns!) without seeming to realize it - on the one hand, they quote security sources as saying that Israel doesn't have bombs heavy enough to destroy Fordow; on the other hand, they quote security sources as saying that without the US, Israel will have to engage in a sustained campaign of several months to gradually destroy the nuclear sites. So which is it? Can Israel do it (albeit over an extended period), or can it not?

I think there's a plan to deal with Fordow, even without direct US intervention. My guess is using modified transport planes to deliver GBU-57s. We know Israel has already been using it's C-130s to do *something* in Iran (see here), and it's conceivable that once the air force is absolutely sure that's it's eliminated threats in the area, it will start using them to hit Fordow.

I love the framing i've been seeing in media and social media in some places.. of this as the Israeli "attack" on Iran.. Iran has been directly attacking Israel for decades, supporting, building, training, funding, arming outright terrorists to attack them and murder or terrorize their civilians. They command and control these groups from the level of official state military and government. Get the fuck out of here with that bullshit!
