You are aware that all nukes are air-burst ? This is to increase the damage. Optimal height is determined on yield and it can be more devastating 1km away than at ground zero due to lensing effect.

If you ram it into ground you just made a very dirty bomb as dust gets mixed with radioactive material and gets carried away and moved around forever. Which is terminal for sand shithole that entire peninsula is. Chernobyl got enough growth and rain that radioactivity is now 50cm in the ground.

Im convinced the 2.5 mag explosion was a nuclear implosion test underground. No idea about the 4.3 in the far southeast of Iran. The entire country is seismically active, but some areas are more active than others, so you can deduce which ones are close the surface meaning nuclear test vs just another quake.

I'm sure there's a bunch of Iranian soldiers there and it's a pretty big place underground, it'd be a bad idea to send your own soldiers inside. They'd be way outnumbered no matter what. And you can blow up the entrances, do at least some damage to the underground facilities, and destroy all the above-ground support buildings already without having to put boots on the ground

If the Ukraine war didn’t happen Russia would be 100% supporting Iran right now and their allies against Israel and Syria wouldn’t have fallen. Everyone that mainly allied with Russia shouldn’t be that confident cause they’re getting effected as well. I wonder how the Chinese feeling about the past 3 years.
