I can sort of forgive Niko's character with the hypocritical thing but I think that's how he's just written. He wants to be a new man doing good for himself and Roman, but he doesn't actually believe it's achievable after all the bad things he's done. I get your point , I didn't like Niko at all because he spent the entire game wanting to find and kill Darko Brevic for revenge, but choosing to kill him he just immediately whines that it doesn't make him feel any better but that's kind of the point to his character. He could never find his redemption because it seems like he doesn't believe he actually deserves it. I'm probably reading more into it than R* intended.
and speaking of Redemption... Niko's not nearly as annoying as shit like the most moral outlaw of the West, Arthur Morgan. It seemed the entire game was him saying "we're not good people!" but going out of his way to help every doe eyed nigger and indian he lays eyes on so he can say "nah I'm not" when someone says "you're a good man Arthur!" . Niko works as a fundamentally flawed character because they didn't really try to make Niko look like a good guy.
I think it's time R* fucks off with the honor system entirely, just use a fame/infamy system instead if necessary.

Shame there's no hookers (in a wild west game) least with John he was married with Arthur it's the first step in no prostitutes I'd bet a bridge you're not gonna be able to do that in VI and reddit will absolutely love it.
 
i mean theres gonna be systems that get a massive improvement from what was in v (best guesses from me is stuff like police/wanted system and npc behaviors most likely) but as for everything else, who knows other than rockstar games themselves
I just want driving to be like IV where every car felt different verse V every car handles the same. Problem with V everything feels like a downgrade from IV, and with IV the map is the only downgrade. And please ped dialog needs to be on IV/SA level. I could only stand ro hear "someone's on the rag" so many times.

IIRC, the leaks have lead people to believe that there will be a trust meter that acts like the honor meter in RDR2 in regards to Jason and Lucia.

You'd think if they have that, there'd be prostitutes and stuff. But the Rockstar of the past 15 years will remove just about anything you'd think would be in a game so who knows.

Edit: The GTA Online update is lackluster to the point that it feels like it exists just to introduce Mr. Faber who will end up being a GTA VI character.

They make a weird point of how he has interests outside of LS, but are cryptic about where exactly. And even though I've only played 3 missions, they've made it a point to make him out to be the big bad evil guy of the criminal underworld as so far I've seen Madrazo bow down to him and there was a reveal that Faber financed Gay Tony's first club and Gay Tony has (apparently) secretly always been working for him.

I'll laugh my ass off if the easy score that goes wrong for Jason and Lucia involves ripping him off, since this update so far has made him out to be some underworld puppet master while he simultaneously asks me to buy a ghetto carwash to launder money.

The pacing of V is the worst in the series. Throughout the game you have enough money to buy a couple of the cheaper properties/businesses per character. At the conclusion of the story every character can get dumped with $30m, enough to buy everything else in the game other than the golf club. Franklin getting out of the hood almost immediately always felt weird and Lamar and Franklin's aunt were the only memorable characters from the hood, unlike in San Andreas. Michael and Trevor being exiled from the city is the only part that mixes things up.
The Big Bads from GTA V that made the most sense would be Steve Haines and Devin Weston. You encounter Merryweather for half the game compared to the Ballas, the Triads and whatever enemy of the day Trevor has. Steve Haines has dirt on Michael to do his dirty work with Franklin and Trevor being along for the ride.

Maybe the Triads for Trevor's Big Bad, but they come and go as soon as they get screen time. The Ballas, and by extension, Stretch are forgettable. I agree that GTA V's story pacing is the weakest since neither villain gets enough development to fit into the story.

Re: woke shit, there's enough in the screenshots to suggest that at least we'll get the usual prodding of both sides (man in a tutu on the arts centre billboard, "proud allies of diversity 'n' treats", probably another political campaign similar to Cranley/Murry).
I believe that the delay is related to rewrites for GTA VI because of the shifting political climate. I think I read something that the last act of VI hasn't even been completed yet. Think about it, Trailer 2 had Jason say he's "just fixing some leaks." You cannot tell me that's R* being cheeky from the recent leaks of VI.

though i believe you have not played GTA5 SP that much, cars handling the same is only for the GTAO cars, a buffalo handles way better than a dominator even with the highest skill level, unless you trigger franklin's skill.
and let's not even get into bikes where in TLaD they had to be tweaked in order to not have johnny getting yeeted off his bike like a fucking paper doll with the smallest bump like niko does because the physics system is absolute shit amplified ten times by the awful suspension force bullshit.

Driver: SF has similar driving to GTA IV, although it's less heavy. I think driving like Driver: SF or a middle ground between IV and V would be best. Add some weight to driving but give more control during turns. I can't pinpoint how heavy IV's driving is; it's almost like you'd understeer often for each turn and cars are "glued" to the ground. I do hope that IV vehicle damage physics return.
 
Ditto with weapon loadouts - why would I use the assault rifle instead of the carbine rifle when I can carry both of them with me all the time, along with seven pistols, a minigun and an RPG?
I'd just want something like IV, one weapon for each type. V made it so annoying to fiddle around.
Car ownership should be more like GTAO or stabling horses in RDR2. I'm still attached to lots of my horses and online cars, but you don't get a chance to get attached to cars that aren't the designated personal vehicles in single player as you're basically punished for using them. I'm already feeling pessimistic about this due to the prominence of the Declasse Tulip and a new car, the Vapid Creado, in the trailers.
I hope you'll get a player car but you can still own cars like in GTAO. Seems like the best course of action.
I do hope that IV vehicle damage physics return.
Don't get your hopes up, the reason why vehicle damage was screwed over in the next gen versions of GTA V was because of first person mode. They aren't ever getting rid of that, so get ready for vehicle damage to be worse than IV and V on 360 and PS3.

I'd think if the technology improved since GTA V, I mean TEN years since that game came out, it should be possible.

it's because of GTAO, not first person since all cars from SP have tons of deformation and different part health bars in the same way as vehicles in GTA4 have.
something something GTAO vehicles don't have, you can fuck up a banshee pretty well but try the same thing on a banshee custom and see nothing happen, it'll look pristine as fuck even though it's nearly exploding.

rumor has it GTA VIs multiplayer is either going to be a separate purchase or bundled with the SP for $100, while this is completely and utterly retarded of them I have never given a fuck about Rockstar's multiplayer that much, still its just a greedy move that is going to piss off more people (including most normalfags) then its worth imo

I agree, High Honor Zoomers are completely utterly retarded, your in a gang that robs and kills people, the most fun thing to do in RDR2 is board a train then aim your gun at the passengers and demand money
