I simply don't see Israel fulfilling that role, the same with Saudi Arabia, and US intervention would widely vary since the USA has no treaty allies in the region.

The fact is that this is happening because Iran is more vulnerable than they've been in a long ass time, Hamas has been bombed to hell and back, Hezbollah got their dicks blown off with pagers, and of all Iran's proxies, only the Houthis are in any sort of stable condition but they did manage to piss off a fuck ton of the world by fucking with the Red sea/Suez canal. Plus it's worth remembering that Assad is finally gone, and Russia is still tied up with Ukraine.

I know you're referring to a power vacuum Iran's next revolution could create, but the thing nations in that region would be fighting over wouldn't be "becoming the dominant power." Watching a rival nation (and in many cases rival religion) suffer a humiliating defeat would open up a myriad of opportunity.
