I don't think Episode 1 was as bad as people are saying, but its hard not to compare to Season 1 when every bit feels derived from former glory (the wall show, the toss-it project, moms/dads). Once they started working with Ruse, a big part of the formula became about bullying actors and seeing how far they could push it. The cruelty was the point and it worked because it made you think about how movies will cast people sometimes purely because they're ugly. With that said the football sketch felt lazy. There wasn’t anything clever about it; they had a destination in mind and went straight there without any real build-up. The highlight for me was the Vicodin sketch

I was retarded enough to pay for this.

Honestly very disappointing compared to World Peace, I agree with everyone else here that running the "Having a fake sketch we don't really care that much about as an excuse to just verbally abuse retard actors we found on craigslist" bit into the ground by making it the main comedy of most of the sketches was a mistake. Moms was great, the Baseball sketch from WP too, but almost every sketch has this non-comittal unconfiedent vibe that they'll just break the 4th wall if they aren't immediatly getting what they want out of the bit, so they turn the bit into shitting on retards from craigslist. The only one where it really worked for me was the Daddy Dom sketch because the bit about a Daddy Dom dating show only works if you include the authentic autismo rapist creeps that would be a part of something like that who aren't just acting, and it was pretty funny having having Hayden needle them one by one. The "N" word sketch felt really juvenile and lazy for me, until the end tag when the Amerimutt in a Best Buy uniform said it a few times, Rule of Threes I guess lol. the football sketch was just retarded and honestly way too meanspirited even for Sam. Like I said, when the only joke is "lets bail on the premise of the sketch see how hard we can bully a poor old man until he cries", It's not gonna hit as hard when it's the 3rd time you've done it in the episode. The Vicodin sketch felt very WP1, it was fine. The transition bumpers between each sketch were cool and well edited. The guy getting, and then having to fix, the "World Peace Season 2" tattoo was pretty funny. Really, the most egregious thing to me was that ridiculously sappy, and self-indulgent outro. It was very well edited but for a guy like Sam to put together this overly-sincere "remember all the good times?" memberberries bullshit rings so hollow when his well manicured public persona is a guy that says "fuck sentimentally, stack paper and get bitches, happiness is for women". Just totally phony and saccharine on his part, I'm glad that something like that in here shows that they do care about the their body of work and the memories they've had making it, but I don't believe for a second Sam wouldn't call someone else a faggot for putting something like that in their show.

Overall It's not nearly as good as WP, but I already paid for it (no refunds), and all things considered it's not "bad", it just falls well below the expectations of a "World Peace Season 2" for me. I'd give it a 6/10

name 1 thing Tim Heidecker has done in the past 5 years (you can't google it)
What, you don’t think Beef House revolutionized comedy? Tim is out here on the working-class Glendale streets going after the real sacred cows Sam won’t dare to touch (90s sitcoms).
Not to fangirl but this is absolutely based, I love when sam is direct and I bet this retard never in a million years, expected to receive such a hateful rebuke, certainly not from a “celebrity”.

Everyone who works for Barstool should be turned into soylent green.

Alex stein interviewed all our /ourgoys/. Sam is going back calling out the Js hard again. I think the pressure of releasing extreme peace has been lifted a bit and the White man is back, baby.

E: Alex stein is really a great interviewer, he’s good at addressing every member and asking expanding questions so that everyone has an ability to say something.

Also sam seems really over taking about Tim heidecker like at all

Wow he tried to make it really kosher towards the end promoting Charlie Kike/talmud points USA but Sam knows kike tricks well and caught it quick

Is that nigga Jewish? I find him to be actually funny, a lot more intelligent than he lets on and committed to right wing ideology. I don't follow him but whenever I come across his stuff I respect it. I haven't done an "early life" check on him.

Same question regarding Alex Schulz since that's also a pretty common Jewish surname.

His early life is random television appearances/small acting roles as an extra in various TV shows.
He's a natural born entertainer. While im not the biggest fan of his fan of his humor, I find it endearing that he hasn't changed at all since those old clips. The catch phrase, the attitude, and the bravado have all been there since day one. Hard to hate a man whose consistent in an age of ADHD adled turbospergs who change their entire personality based on who the top political streamer is.

Watched the Extreme Peace preview on YouTube and, wow, this might be the most psychically-draining 20 minutes of content ever produced.

Why does the bulk of their big comeback episode consist of them struggle session-ing some elderly dude they found on Craigslist (who also happens to be a more likeable improv comedian than any of the MDE members)? I don't care if that sketch is some epic meta joke that you need A High IQ To Understand and he was actually in on it the whole time, or whatever; it's the emotional equivalent of snuff cinema. It has to take some kind of malicious intent to derive enjoyment from that sort of thing. Fishtank must have done permanent damage to Sam's ability to relate to other people, or maybe he was always like that, I don't know.

The daddy dom sketch was strong in concept, but painfully slow in execution. These guys have no idea what to do with thirty minutes of screentime and they make it plainly obvious. I can't believe there's a whole extra third of the episode that I didn't see.

I was keeping an eye on Extreme Peace largely because a couple of friends were looking forward to it, but I'm not new to Sam's work. That TedX speech he did about killing old people is one of my favourite videos online -- but after watching this I have to wonder: this is our """based and redpilled""" comedian? Also, the second episode is allegedly *not as good* as this one?? What fresh hell is the Hyde Brain Trust about to unleash upon the misanthropic white guy community? My opinion on him is rapidly shifting from "sometimes-humorous YouTube person with his heart sort-of in the right place" to "actively damaging to counterculture".

Progressives are way funnier.

why is everyone reviewing the whole season based on 1 episode
seems like a bunch of contrarian faggots
wait till the whole thing is out before dumping your youtube video essay scripts
This episode is the one they liked enough to use as promotional material for the rest of the season. I'm not saying it can't get better, but that doesn't bode well.

Watched it yesterday and didn't find it super entertaining. Felt like sketches were dragged out and would prefer an episode to be 15 to 20 minutes if it's well edited and snappy.

One of my favorite MDE sketches was the Utopia bit. Even though it goes for over four minutes, it never feels like it drags on our has pointless dead air. All the lines have their place and it feels like a cohesive bit. Also, this sketch didn't require much of a budget or months of editing.

this means fuck-all, the first episode of world peace is actually supposed to be the fifth, or something, and the rest of the season was fantastic
you guys are grasping at straws i think

It just fucking came out? Are you not allowed to have an opinion of Episode 1 of ANY TV show until the rest of the season out? If the rest of the season is solid gold, and this one was still kind of shit in comparison, what difference would it make in waiting?
