The "do no harm" Hippocratic oath is no more valid than a lawyer's ethical obligations.
The "First do no harm" part of the oath, if a med school still has one, is long gone.
If most med schools even have students do the oath, its a "modified*" version.

*This version of the Hippocratic Oath has been brought to you by Pfizer. And no, that's not a joke. BigPharma's reach is deep.

It's not the Californians, it's the immigrants. Most Californians who left are more conservative than the locals (the blue voters see absolutely nothing wrong with their state and are afraid they'll die without abortion/trans surgeries if they move to a red state) and there are relatively few of them. They're just a politically acceptable target to hate because you can't talk about who is really behind the housing crisis without being accused of racism/xenophobia.
They are the long term problem. Their state is ruined so they move here. Yes the illegals are an issue. There is only so many of them. If the Californians keep coming after the illegals are removed, we are back at square one.
, while listing prices are dropping, the properties are still not transacting. Sales volume of existing homes looks a LOT like 2008-2012, but the median transacting price is up over 2x from that time, https://en.macromicro.me/charts/31/existing-home-price . So the listing prices are dropping, but no ones buying because they either don't want what is available, or can't afford to. Social media brainrot is probably not helping in this regard.
What do you mean by brainrot affecting housing prices?
Utah will become a blue state by 2030, calling it right now. Texas is already well on its way.
Red forever, phew

the way you fix this is you grind until you have a down payment, then you live in a shitbox that you fix up, then you sell the shitbox for at least three times what you paid for it
You see, everyone has already done that so there are no "shitboxes" or "starter homes" left that are affordable. They then vote for restrictive zoning so you are not allowed to build anything but luxury mansions or multi-family developments.

A true libertarian would be in favor of a hypermassive country wide corporation (goverment) using its own privately funded military, security force, and so on to prevent other companies from importing things.

It's all part of the game right?

Yeah I realize that argument has no legs even rhetorically but I'm really tired of these motherfuckers who are only in support of libertarianism when it lets them fuck their fellow countrymen in the ass and seething when said countrymen use it to fuck them right back.
Because a truly free market requires there be zero interference from the government but what a lot of supposed "Libertarians" proffer largely protect those who benefit most from the current, government-interfered market (investor, shareholders, larger pre-existing companies) which minimises risk and nothing else by and large.

I think the issue with a lot of libertarian-types is that they only think of regulations in terms of environment and worker safety, when the regulations that actually fuck over a ton of smaller businesses and prevent them from growing in the first place is administrative shite like Sarbanes–Oxley. It effectively implemented a mandatory cost for companies going public in order to remain compliant with section 404, which requires hiring an independent auditor every financial quarter to check over finances which could set you back $5 to $15 thousand dollars per quarter. You need investment to grow, but you already need to be financially secure enough to pay these auditors to begin with.

There's the idea that a free market would naturalise towards a monopoly, but I think those practices are only enabled in the first place through government allowance and enabling. One of the first monopolies busted by Theodore Roosevelt was the American Sugar Refining Company, which was given permission to buy shares from its competitors by in 1895 — by the supreme court!

The government has not only gone to certain measures to protect and enable the behaviours of larger companies, they've also gone to massive lengths to eradicate risk from participating in the economy as well. Investors are afforded too much protection, which in turn forces corporations to minimise risks when it comes the operation, since a single shareholder can sue the company for massive profit if they believe the company isn't doing well enough, or that they have personally be fucked with - example - and all these protections force the company to act in ways detrimental to consumers.

Hot take: Libertarians who think the government should protect them from a corporation/business potentially defrauding them are not true libertarians.

I already see dumbass niggas of all races romantizing War with Iran like it'll be the gulf war from the 90s all over again. Quick and will be blasting Macarena slowed, "We need to make a playlist to get ready"
The Gulf war was in 1991, the Macarena hit the US around 1996 and playlists became popular with the ipod in the 00s
Serious question - why are there so many homeless in Salt Lake City? I've unfortunately visited it quite a lot, and I've always been surprised by the seemingly large number of homeless, given the hot summers and relatively cold winters.

ICE Agents tackle illegals outside Home Depot in Hollywood, Calif.

You can hear the anchors brain break in real time

"They are just trying to earn a living and are law abiding um....."

Well you can't say the word your brain wants you to say, that word would be "citizen". That's the word that usually comes after "law abiding". So the brain struggles against its reflexes.

"Are law abiding ... um ... people".

Yeah people, law abiding people. I mean you should have just said citizen since that would be as accurate as "law abiding" when discussing an illegal immigrant.

Thank the house flippers whose entire knowledge of the industry comes from HGTV, AirBnB owners, and landlords who buy up the whole neighborhood as "investment property".

They should be publicly skinned alive.

It's a forever war if we don't stop them, it's a forever war if we do. Why should we get involved? Why does it HAVE to be the US? Europe is closer, and therefore has more risk. Why aren't THEY shitting their pants and scrambling planes?
Also, why does it have to be us? Take a look at Europe and tell me what you see. They're already being invaded by Muslims, with plenty of towns and territories having already elected muzzies into governor positions, that on top of Europe being suicidaly cucked, expecting them to do anything is actually retarded.
The literal very next day:
Two activists from the group Palestine Action breached the United Kingdom's largest air base, RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire, rode electric scooters across the runway, vandalized two airplanes, and egressed without being captured.

You know you can post Trump's tweet instead of some rando who doesn't cite any sources[.]
To be fair, that rando usually cites their sources and they're known to be trustworthy, but for times they don't I can find them myself in the future. 👍

The number of times I've heard "Law abiding people who are here illegally" being said with a straight face in the last 6 months...

Forgot about Optimus tho
2003's invasion was done in barely a month. the occupation was what took time.

Regardless only retards think there's going to be boots on the ground. The only thing Trump is considering is bombing strikes

I think it's important for people to remember that the crime is not that the 2020 Election was stolen. (It was) Rather, the investigation is over the FBI under Wray at the time knowingly and willingly did not investigate fraud when they had evidence of it, thereby interfering with the election. They're not investigating the election itself, rather the FBI and their actions.

The doomer in me thinks this is a nothingburger (and it probably is) but I'm really glad that he's not letting 2020 get swept under the rug. Every possible avenue must be expended to drag these fuckers out and make an example of them.

I know there's a million arguments against "muh democracy" (even though the US is a REPUBLIC and not a pure democracy) but if there's any hope of keeping the country together, it needs to purge the corruption and filth that permeates its elections. Bezos is a fucknut but he was spot-on when he said that a democracy must both be legitimate and widely BELIEVED to be legitimate if it has any hope of survival.

A democracy is only as strong as the faith it's citizens have in it.
