The only thing great about Illinois, and the only reason my dad and I stayed after the rest of the family died or moved away, is the hunting and fishing laws. It's much more permissive and cheaper than the neighboring states looking to take in red IL counties (which is most of the state). If you're an outdoorsman, the Shawnee National Forest at the southern tip is an absolute paradise, which is why Chicago kikes have been outbidding the locals on every single parcel of land down there to turn it into their private hunting club.
