Teenagers nowadays can code, hack, invest and even think up creative insults. Comparing them to Phil is degrading. Rather, Phil is at the level or toddlers who need to be fed by the helicopter spoon which lands directly in their mouths but they still make a mess and cry about it.

But remember, Phil did nothing wrong. It was the helicopter spoon's fault. Just like it was the company's fault that he was let go from the helicopter company FOR NO REASON.

Phil told the infamous car accident story again tonight. I wanted to do a little comparison of a few retellings to see what details get included and excluded.

Spoiler: July 9th, 2022

This is a long and detailed retelling.
- Phil was not drunk or intoxicated (he gives this detail because the story he is reacting to involves drunk driving)
- Phil was paying attention while driving, in fact he was actually overly paying attention
- The other guy was going "100 miles per hour"
- Phil bounced off the guardrail "like a pinball"
- Seems to be describing multiple bounces sending him back and forth across the highway
- Crashed into the side of an overpass
- Airbag went off and burned his face
- He almost died
- Phil had an unnamed passenger in the car with him, who walked away completely unharmed, but his glasses flew off his head and presumably out an open window, into the woods

Spoiler: October 11th, 2022

This retelling is in response to a question about getting traffic tickets, so we get some new wrinkles to the story.
- The cop had to give someone a ticket
- Phil calmly and rationally pigsplained the story to the cop, including details like the other guy going 100 miles per hour
- Phil "veered off the road" with no mention of hitting a guardrail and bouncing off like a bumper car, hitting the overpass, airbag deployment and associated injuries, or almost dying
- The cop had to give Phil a ticket since there is no way to prove he wasn't lying about the guy going 100 MPH and he got away
- The cop assured Phil that he totally believes the story but his hands were tied

Spoiler: January 17th, 2022

This was a pretty quick retelling but we get a few little changes.
- Phil was driving home from school in this version
- Speed limit was like 55
- Other guy was driving 100 miles per hour, or more
- Bounced off the guardrail, no mention of bouncing "back and forth like a pinball" though
- Smashed into an underpass
- The cop is back in this version and he told Phil that because there's no evidence of 100 MPH guy Phil is responsible, no mention of getting a ticket though
- No mention of airbag, injuries, almost dying, etc

- Phil has been in "a few accidents"
- Was driving a Ford Escort
- Other guy was driving "90 to 100 miles per hour"
- Bounced off the guard rail like a pinball, back and forth across the highway
- Almost died
- "Luckily, it didn't do much damage to me"
- The airbag saved his life
- Says this was his first car accident
- No mention of face injuries or getting a ticket

IV isn't even that hard to mod (nowadays), most of the big mods either come packaged in installers or are literally just drag & drop

I played modded GTA IV last year (to be fair most mods were there to just make the game run decently) and there was one mod that required messing with an .ini file (so a 5th grader could do it) and then do some tinkering with options the mod adds in-game (ditto). But seriously, imagine being so tech illiterate when you "work" in a field that requires at least basic tech literacy. Like imagine if you had a sandwich shop and you had to explain to the worker behind the counter that you're supposed to put the meatballs in between two sandwich buns rather than putting meatballs around a single sandwich bun. Now imagine you had to do it every single time you order a meatball sub.

Didn't see this posted here, I only occasionally check on Phil, but this might actually affect him. He still does get a fair amount of ad revenue just based on the sheer number of videos he has. I know Phil will claim that his videos are authentic and meaningful raw gameplay but I guess it's up to Youtube if snorting over footage of a video game counts.

I did tune into his Mario Kart stream briefly last night and the literally the first thing I heard out of his mouth was begging.

Unfortunately his content is sort of original because no other youtuber has exhibited this sort of unhinged behavior and comically bad reflexes and gaming skills over the years. He won't be demonetized for such a reason, but whatever he did since the Turkey Tom documentary will likely and inevitably get him suspended.

I swear that if any other streamer started acting like he did on Twitch or Youtube they would be suspended overnight and not just demonetized.

Also I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but "DarkSydePhil is not funny" is really spot-on. Even during 2016 or 2017 he is at least entertaining to watch in a manner like Low Tier God and Wings meltdowns. Right now literally everything coming out from his mouth is either begging or something totally delusional (note that he never admits that he has less reflexes than a slug).

When I was a teenager I was installing all kinds of mods of varying jank level for Half-Life 1. None had installers, some had decent readme.txts. A lot of trial and error and bitching on IRC.

The "pinballing" claim of his car crash always makes me laugh, barriers are designed to absorb impact so you'd have to be doing some real speed to do that. Or the airbag burning his face, whilst they do contain an explosive charge they are specifically designed so that doesn't happen to you. My theory is either he didn't look whilst changing lanes or was just on his phone, it was a minor accident that has changed over the years into a life or death event.

Several years ago I saw a Youtube comment joking about how DSP was killed by an alien around the time he moved to the WAKhando and now that alien is wearing an ill-fitting, poorly maintained, rapidly decaying human suit of the person he killed. It's not even that outlandish of a theory, I saw someone on twitter post a really old picture of him at the arcades when he was skinny and in his early 20s. You can see from the profile shot that the back of his skull is a regular enough shape, hell even the poster commented on the fact that the back of his skull is completely flat nowadays and wondered what the fuck happened. Even 2008-2011 fatass buzzcut Phil looked nothing like current Phil, he had a round head and face compared to today where his head and face have the shape of Eeyore's head and face. Not only do past and current Phil look like completely different people, they look like they're from a completely different species.

if this does affect him, I see him cutting down on game play and having more "chill with phil" shit. if he weren't a downie, he could see this as a blessing. he gets most of his donos when he talks/rants. I'm sure he could hit 150 within two hours of him just face streaming

Phil literally has the physique of an elderly man who sits on his ass and eats garbage food. I wouldn’t be surprised if his teeth are shit, but that’s a longstanding view.
