I would beg to differ on that statement. Most of them likely have jobs, but most gamers are extremely loyal to a few games. Gaming is an absurdly cheap hobby for most players once you get past the moderately steep initial investment into a system. Steam users played on average only 4 different games last year. Even if we assume that half the userbase is just bots and alts, that's still maybe 7 or 8 unique games played a year. And on top of that, of these few games, two thirds of the time played in games was spent on games that were over 8 years old. Most people are sitting in their creature comfort games (many of which are free to play!), maybe picking up a new title here and there. They're likely spending more on electricity than they are on flavor of the month games and the whole lineup of blockbuster games each year. Video gaming is absurdly cheap $/hour if you aren't chasing the tippy top of everything.
Most gamers nowadays only play a fanfull of titles, usually older ones since newer ones suck https://www.pcgamer.com/gaming-indu...d-there-are-apparently-908-million-of-us-now/

Also daily reminder that the modern culture war started because they tried to mess with our games

Everyone should strive to take a day away from all of this nonsense and grill some meat, blow some shit up, have a few beers and enjoy our countries birthday. God Bless America.
man I'm working the grill at my job today. at a BBQ place. and it's expected to rain. We might deadass run out of everything

Has anyone explain WHY ICE getting so much bigger is a bad thing? I'm really drawing a blank on how enforcing the border and getting rid of people who shouldn't be here is a bad thing.

Also happy birthday 'Murica.
A general consensus I see is that illegals come from shitty situations and the normal immigration process takes far too long for them. Deportation would just place them back in said shitty situations, a hard sell if you're empathetic to them, so it should be the job of the more fortunate (us) to lift them up. The 'ideal' world in this case would be to make it much easier to legally immigrate here.

Another point brought up is that illegals have always been here. Industries are so reliant upon them that it'd cause a recession because they'd need to halt what they're doing, since their work force would vanish. So, we should simply live with it since the consequences would be disastrous.

I can also imagine the huge budget increase is seen as a burden to us, when it should've gone to social programs that will more directly benefit us.

Oh yes, also "Racism! Racism! Deportation is the first step towards Trump's ethnostate! They're not just deporting illegal immigrants, they're going for anyone not white!"

I'm like a beer deep and no way I am reading all that post lol. Hope you have a good 4th weekend. I hope the bill isn't a disaster. I want the country to do well, even if Trump is president. Otherwise would be pretty shitty and traitorous behavior. I am just pointing out why his policies are bad for the country
Happy 4th bro. We may disagree, but today let's just love the USA.

Planes are falling out of the sky, 33,000 jobs have been lost in the last month, food prices are about to sky-rocket, Americans are being sent to concentration camps without due process
All because you guys fell for funny /pol/ memes in 2016 and based your whole personality and worldview around misinfo
Jesus, Reddit brained much?

What exactly makes a detention center a concentration camp anyway? I stopped taking you guys seriously when the "children in cages" ceased to be an issue, once Biden reopened the "cages" in his admin, or when Obama initially constructed it, but I am still curious.

Happy 4th, Everyone!

They're concentration camps because people are being sent there simply for being brown with no due process.

1. Most already have a deportation orders, but refused to leave.
2. If you are in a country illegally, you generally get deported straight up. That is the "due process," but you know that. What you mean by Due Process TM is getting your Soros judges to declare that all illegals can never be deported.

Go outside, dude, and stop doomscrolling on Tiktoc. Remember, Redditors have no nuance and are not to be taken seriously.

Brownies moment. Next 10 years, these ideals will be more mainstream and supported
I'm very interested in seeing how this poll would turn out in %currentyear% instead of a decade ago, and I really would like to know the methodology behind it. Especially with how many minorities turned out for Trump in 2024.

"Fiscal Conservatives" have been calling for entitlement reforms for decades and accomplished nothing. Trump actually got it done.
You see, boy entitled me and so bad OK. Cool. Let's cut all of Social Security. Let's completely eliminate that program. We will. Never do that because the boomers form of communism is okay but your average working Joe having universal healthcare like every other developed country. In the world, that's a number, no.
Fiscal conservatives are full of **** anyways. They love the military budget. They love giving out tax breaks to massive corporations. They love corporate welfare. They love giving hundreds of billions of dollars to Israel. Fiscal conservatism is only fiscally conservative when it comes to white people.
