Suing for impersonation of the long haired antihero?

Any proof if Jason was swatted im looking public records didnt see anything people are saying he faked it. Cuz hes also the guy to say he called the police when he got a bigger audience to avoid swats.
My only guess would be it would need to be FOIA'd there should be some kind of call or report on the day of regardless of if they were notified of the streamer being swatted.
They can't just not document a call like that.

Turning?
Always has been.

Very small FINNISH youtuber made a video on jason. Seems really grounded on it. Hopefully it spreads to more Finnish people

Once you break that event horizon and it's basically just a free-for-all on someone, it always reminds me of the L4D horde sound effect.
I think we maybe passed the event horrizon around the time pewdiepie and actman got in on it. Now its just open season for everyone to dunk on him.

At The Streamer Awards 2023 Mald won "Best Software and Game Development Streamer". At the time (Oct 2023) his twitch channel had 39k followers and 379 viewers on average. He won against: dougdoug (772k followers, 7,751 viewers avg), vedal987 (420k followers, 5,198 viewers avg) and codemiko (918k followers, 1,621 viewers avg). The underdog wins! But neither him nor ThePrimeagen presenting the prize seem to acknowledge that. In his dumb speech he thanks the people who voted for him.

Shortly thereafter his YouTube explodes, goes from 12k to ONE. MIRRION. SUBS. (woow) in 40 days. Around 400k subs he releases the "Shorts Secrets" short where he says you change "[√] notify subs" to "[ ] notify subs" and then all the "dead accounts" no longer drag you down. (Maybe the trick works extra well if you're expecting 1M dead accounts in 40 days?) After 1M the sub curve straightens a bit. Meanwhile his twitch channel grows fast too (traffic from YT I guess?). Both his channels were kind of dead in the water before this point (growing, but very slowly).

I looked at some other award categories and the winner is usually the one with most views.

>first sentence is written wrong.
It should be, "Why continuing provided support DOES not work for all games".

Either whoever wrote this is an idiot, the group of people who drafted this up are idiots, or they wrote it in some other language than English then Google translated it.

I'm a pretentious faggot, so writing mistakes in what is supposed to be an important document bugs me. I only read a little bit but it seems like they're regurgitating exactly what Jason was saying. Kind of a weird move considering that whoever would be arguing in SKG's favor could easily use this against them to prove that these people, just like Jason, do not care about the consumer's rights but would rather care more about companies making a buck. They're trying really hard to frame the language as if SKG is antagonistic towards every video game company ever, and that they are specifically aiming to fuck over online only games. Once again, Jason's bullshit echoes into the fathoms, able to be heard from bum fuck nowhere all the way to the political office.

Holy shit, I am technically one degree removed from this faggot. At a low point in my life I was banging a second life addicted furry chick (I said, low point), and this coincided with the maldavius meltdown. I remember her going about being all sad that whatever fursona avatars she was buying were no longer supported/made or whatever.

Man the world is a tiny place.

Very obscure these days, but I wonder when Terra 2120 actually went offline.
As far as I know Terra 2120 can still be played today. It was also a free to play game which complicates the SKG argument revolving around consumer rights.

"Online video games evolve over time after their initial release, providing consumers with regular new content, experiences, patches, and updates. This is highly valued by players"
I cannot count on my fingers the amount of times I've seen people bitch and moan about an update, just any update. Any Overwatch update, for example.

"Video games companies put significant investment into creating and developing the best interactive entertainment and experience for their passionate player bases
Such as the times where Ross played TrackMania and saw the graphical fidelity decrease by updates?

As rightsholders and economic entities, video games companies must remain free to decide when an online game is no longer commercially viable and to end continued server support for that game.

It is not clear what the initiators of the stop killing games petition seek to achieve as a legal change. It appears to be a combination of a requirement to provide online services for as long as
a consumer wants them, regardless of price paid, and/or a requirement to provide a very specific form of end-of-life plan where the game is altered to enable private servers to operate. We do not believe these are proportionate demands.
They, quite literally, take Mald's completely insane and untruthful "perspective" as fact. Nowhere does it state that the law gets to choose this, you decide that, but we get something in return to run it ourselves, this is blatant gaslighting.
"We do not believe these are proportionate demands", just, lmao.

It is far from a trivial modification or a simple addition to the game development phase. It would ignore material reputational, safety, and security concerns.
This is just absolutely benign reasoning, none of the concerns would fall on you, it would lie on the community. A simple fucking binary would do the trick, something INDIE DEVELOPERS CAN DO ON THEIR OWN. If some fuckwit in Sweden who codes in Java-hieroglyphics can do it, so can the gigantic studio's.

what they acquire is a personal license to access and play the copy of the game they have purchased
There's something so beautiful about this specific way of phrasing. "They acquire ... a personal license -- of the game they have purchased" -- So, which is it? A license or a purchase? They can't even tell!

Going by their points point by point:
1. This wouldn't fall on you, this would be the community's task.
2. This would only be on you if you somehow, some miraculous way, made the server binary, which you should have been disconnected from because you shut down your servers, made it phone-home. Otherwise, this would fall on the community's task.
3. Which is why it's not retroactive and you need to plan ahead, you guys hire DEVELOPERS, how about they DEVELOP a way?
4. "Negative impact -- on consumer choice" -- just lmao. "Many of the costs -- would have to be incurred towards the end of the commercial life of a game" Fucking no? You planned ahead, you made it so that when you finally do decide to fuck off you release your shitty binary, you paid for developers to do so BEFOREHAND.
5. This wouldn't fall on you, this would be on the community.
6. "muh copyright" -- YOU get to decide to release something without copyrighted materials in it or with. YOU get to decide that, maybe, (ex.) releasing all the skins in Fortnite wouldn't be a NECESSITY so won't include them. YOU can give us the most barebones, piece of shit server software and you'll comply with the law.
7. What the fuck?
8. We have software licenses and you fucking know what those are, don't act retarded.
9. Appeal to tradition.
10. Appeal to tradition.

The last two paragraphs are such gigantic middlefingers towards anyone's intelligence I don't even feel the need to critique it. Seriously, you're going to lecture ME about game preservation after reading all of this beforehand?

As far as I know Terra 2120 can still be played today. It was also a free to play game which complicates the SKG argument revolving around consumer rights.
Technically true, but if this initiative passes, designing your games with an end-of-life plan will hopefully become the industry standard.

Maldcord happenings! Various chatters today said that Jason was "swatted" again, either on the 3rd or 4th of July. Assuming he mentioned this on stream.

As you can see, they're really running with the narrative that any "swat" attempts = attempting to murder the Allfather.

Who tf is Winky?
Hilariously, there were multiple geniuses who suggest Jason has a basis for a lawsuit against ???/Ross for attempted bodily harm.

Or the people writing it can't refute the actual points?

If it was misinterpreted as people are alleging why was it written in a way that allowed for misinterpretation in the first place, this is a huge part of the argument
This is amazing levels of mental gymnastics. I'm sure this is something Mald has said to her and she's repeating it.

[Mald] speaks confidently about what he believes, people who arnt confident get rubbed the wrong way by confidence
Another "Mald said this." He speaks confidently about things he has no clue about and when people point this out he acts like a baby and tries to shut them up.

These people are mentally stunted and ripe for being taken advantage of.
