Now, will it offer exactly what SKG wants? Not guaranteed, but at bare minimum, it will cause a major re-evaluation of the laws around software licenses, and will, at minimum, redefine what a limited license (X years fixed, 1 year renewable, etc) means, and what a perpetual license means.

Honestly, I'm unsure on how outside of Mald telling us that we would be able to gather any information to support or deny this claim. My only thinking could be a FOI request to perhaps the state/local police dept for bodycam footage, however thats work that someone else can figure out if they're solely inclined to follow up on that. I'm not in a position to investigate that route.

Basically video game "the crew" is a good example. Sold for 60 dollars. No declaration of an expiration date. No renting. No monthly subscription. People bought this. And then 1 day turned off their servers making it PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE to play in ANY capacity. This can be avoided in dozens of ways, allowing single player offline, allowing a private server launcher, ect, but instead the purchase was rendered useless.

THAT is killing games, it happens a lot, people are sick of it.

If your autism fails to grasp this, imagine I sell you a remote control car. you like it, use it for 2 years, then I fucking stomp it into pieces 1 day saying "yeah no more, hope you enjoyed it". Thats BASICALLY this practice
